- It also helps prevent hypertension, maintains healthy body weight, and can improve
mental health, quality of life, and well-being.

Three main types of Motor skills


LOCOMOTOR
skills are actions that move the body from one space to another.
Ex: running, skipping, leaping, and hopping
NONLOCOMOTOR
skills are actions that take place in one spot.
ex: bending, reaching, stretching, and balancing.
MANIPULATIVE
skills are actions that involve the control and handling of an object.
ex: throwing, catching, kicking a ball, and striking.

Recognizes that participation in physical activity can lead to multicultural and international
understanding.

Describes the manner in which a given society deals with cultural diversity. Based on the
underlying assumption that members of often very different cultures can coexist peacefully,
multicultural expresses the view that society is enriched by preserving, respecting, and even
encouraging cultural diversity. In the area of political philosophy, multicultural refers to the ways
in which societies choose to formulate and implement official policies dealing with the equitable
treatment of different cultures. International understanding is a feeling that the individual is a not
only a member of his country, but a member of the world as well. It is a sense of world
citizenship which enables individuals to hold a global perspective instead of local or national
viewpoints.

Communication: Ability to communicate with each other

Rights and duties: awareness not only of the right but also the duties incumbent upon
individuals, social groups and nations towards each other.

Necessity: Understanding of the necessity and co-operation.

All-round participation: readiness of the individual to participate solving the problems of his
community, his country and the world at large.

Example: Wearing an off-trend or outdated item of clothing, not to be cool and unique
