Case Study: Hazard Identification, Risk Assesment and Risk Control (HIRARC)

This case study documents a Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) process conducted at the JKA Office at Politeknik Port Dickson. The objectives of HIRARC are to identify potential hazards, assess their risks, and recommend control measures to improve safety. Potential hazards identified at the office include physical hazards from slippery floors, risks of injury from exposed wires, and safety hazards from a leaking air conditioner. A risk assessment was conducted to evaluate the likelihood and severity of each hazard. Control measures such as warning signs, hazard tape, and equipment maintenance were recommended to reduce risks. The HIRARC process helps comply with occupational safety laws and protect employee health and safety.
