Learning Outcomes:
CLO1 - Measure the quantities with comprehensive description for superstructure works in
accordance with the principles of measurement based on Malaysian Standard Method
of Measurement of Building Works, Second Edition (SMM2). (C4) (CTPS)
CLO2 - Write comprehensive specification for superstructure works. (C3) (CTPS)
CLO3 - Produce the structured Bills of Quantities for superstructure works. (C3) (CS)
INSTRUCTION ON TASK:
You are required to form a group of MAXIMUM 5 students. Referring the structural drawing
provided, each group need to accomplish:
a. The taking off measurement of reinforced concrete, formwork and reinforcement for
Staircase Structure and prepare Bills of Quantities.
b. Subsequently, prepare a comprehensive specification of reinforced concrete, formwork
and reinforcement for Staircase Structure by referring to JKR Standard Specifications for
Building Works.

a) Front cover
b) Student’s Declaration of Originality
c) Assessment and Marking Scheme sheet,
d) Taking off List and Assumption List
e) Taking off measurements
f) Bills of Quantities
g) Specification
Your submission shall be HANDWRITTEN/TYPEWRITTEN in the softcopy format e.g.
Word file, Excel File or PDF file. Rename your file with your name e.g.
ATBD2564_GROUPANDREW.pdf and submit in Google Classroom to your respective Tutors.
You shall make necessary reasonable assumptions for information that NOT provided in the
drawings, if applicable.
Assessment and Marking Scheme
The Assignment 1 will contribute 50% towards the 100% coursework marks of ATBD2564
Measurement of Superstructure Works.
Any late submission of assignment without acceptable reason or permission from the assessor
will be deducted 5 marks for each day of delay from the final assignment marks awarded.
Students with less than satisfactory work will be required to make good the assignment.
