southwest monsoon lasts from May to October and the northeast monsoon from

November to April. Temperatures usually range from 21 °C (70 °F) to 32 °C (90 °F).

The coolest month is January; the warmest is May.The topography is highly diverse,

with most mountain ranges oriented roughly north to south. Three ranges traverse

Luzon, and two cross Mindanao, along which Mt. Apo, the country's highest peak,

rises to a height of 2954 m. The islands are generally bounded by narrow coastal

plains (Luna, 1965).

Terraces in Benguit, the Maria Cristina Water Falls (this

is one of Philippines famous landforms and is know to be

one of the world's highest water falls) in Mindanao and of

course the Palawan Underground River. Mayon Volcano,

also known as Mount Mayon, is an active volcano in the

province of Albay, on the island of Luzon in the

Philippines. It also includes, Pagsanjan Falls, Taal Lake,

Boracay, and many more.

Nearby countries of the Philippines are

Malaysia in the southwest, Indonesia in the

south, Vietnam in the west, and Taiwan and

mainland China to the north. The Philippines

shares maritime borders with China,

Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Palau, Taiwan

(ROC), and Vietnam.

aspect because of the place we live. Some countries that

live near around each other have some similarities to their

physical geography like vegetation, climate, the local

water cycle, and land formations. These features affect
