RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3.1 Conceptual Framework

The conceptual framework above shows the concept of the study about the domestic
violence against women and children (vawc) as the independent variable and its status in
Barangay Mangagoy as the dependent variable.

3.2 Research Locale


This research study was conducted at the City Hall Building, Montero Street,
Poblacion, Bislig City. The CSWDO provides social protection and promotes the rights and
the welfare of the poor, disadvantaged individual, family, and community to contribute to
poverty alleviation and empowerment of these sectors through Social Welfare and
development policies, programs, projects.

3.3 Research Design
The research design of this study is DESCRIPTIVE-QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
DESIGN. This research design is suited for this study because it determines the
impressions, ideas, opinions, and thoughts from the participants using the appropriate
research instruments.

3.4 Research Instruments


The research instrument used in this research study was an interview guide. The
interview guide is divided into parts: First part is the topics to be covered with the
interviewee. Second, background questions about the interviewee and structured or
industry-specific questions. And lastly, a plan for initiating a follow-up with the interviewee.

3.5 Research Procedures


In data gathering process, researchers follow the procedures below:

First, craft and finalize the research instrument to be used in the study.

Second, submit the finalized research instrument to the pool of expert for validation.

Third, after the research instrument has been validated, the researchers will submit letter of
intent to the concerned persons for the approval to conduct a study.

Fourth, after the approval of letter of intent and permission, the researchers will set a
schedule date for the conduct of the study.

Fifth, administer data-gathering procedures to respondents.

Sixth, retrieval of research instrument from respondents.
