Subject: Representation towards sudden increase in Electricity bill for the month of May 2023
regarding.

With reference to above subject, we are HT consumer ([Link].-HT-219) running the


educational institute KLEIT, Hubballi, received the electrical bill of Rs.2, 41,398 (two lakhs
forty one thousand and three hundred and ninety eight only) for the month May 2023. The
average bill amount from January 2023 to April 2023 is approximately 1, 50,000 (one lakh fifty
thousand).There is a sudden increase in bill amount by 1, 00,000/. There is no prior information
to the consumer about this increase in tariff. As ours is an educational institute, this increase in
tariff (increase in per unit price, contract demand charges and increase in Fuel Adjustment Cost
(FAC)) and hence increase in bill is a burden to our institute. Hence I kindly request you to
extend the service with earlier tariff.
