HVAC Design Course Overview

This document provides an overview of the topics that will be covered in a 20-session HVAC design course. The sessions will cover fundamentals of HVAC including psychrometrics, refrigeration cycles, cooling and heating load calculation, duct design, air distribution systems, ventilation design for spaces like toilets and kitchens, and mechanical systems for applications such as tunnel ventilation and district cooling. Later sessions will focus on equipment selection and sizing of components including chillers, cooling towers, coils, VRF systems, fans, and heating systems. Hands-on drafting practice using AutoCAD will also be included.
