courage, patience, and guidance that serves as the main source of inspiration

to strive further in spite of adversities to fulfill this on-the-job training.

PROFILE OF THE COMPANY

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Top Star hotel is a boutique hotel in Cabanatuan City. It’s a bed and
breakfast hotel for business travelers. After a long tiring day, you can unwind
with a drink at Star Café. Modern bedrooms are prepared to experience a good
night’s sleep as well as the highest level of service from the hospitable and
reliable team.

MISSION
TOP STAR HOTEL provides a market boutique hotel that caters
especially to quality rooms and customer-satisfying services with passion,
integrity, and a heart for the industry.

NARRATIVE REPORT
TECHNICAL LEARNINGS
On-the-job training is one of the most unforgettable experiences. Going
to the hotel every day to acquire new skills and knowledge as a trainee is the
main highlight of this training. Through observation and socializing with guests
and other staff, we gain lessons about the basic work description that may help
us in the near future. Through this ojt experience i learned a lot,i learn to be
more patient in every task that given to me even though it is hard, I learn a lot
of things in my OJT to work and to learn at the same time , some of it I adopt
and apply to myself and some of it helps develop my skills and enhance my
knowledge that may helps me in the near future

PROFESSIONAL LEARNINGS
Transfer of information from one person to another, discovering
techniques that can be applied to future jobs, and learning how to
communicate with other members of the company is a major factors that
helped us to develop our different kinds of expertise. We are trained
academically and socially from internally to externally parts. From the proper
arrangement of beddings, organizing toiletries, washing and folding linen
sheets, and most important is on how we must greet, treat and welcome our
guests. I believe it will not be easy but I believe it is going to be fulfilling and
full of learning. As I entered to this career I am prepared that one day I will be
working in the real world. So after taking this on-the-job training I am assuring
myself that this will help me in my future job. I know that 700 hours is not
enough to fully understand the real situation in working in real world but I am
sure that I can cope up easily and flexibly to whatever my future job will be. I
am grateful that I will be entering a new chapter in my life after OJT and
graduation. I am excited to work in the tourism industry very soon.

PERSONAL LEARNINGS
On-the-job training is essential for students. It is about applying
theoretical knowledge to actual situations. It takes an important role because
we learned the application of lessons and knowledge we gathered from school.
This may help us for the preparation of becoming professionals someday. Little
and major things will be improved for our chosen profession. OJT is very
important not only to teach me regarding my chosen career but also to shows
me the reality about working,I learned so much from the experience. Having
the immersion was really a good start to experience how does it feel to be in a
work place.

RECOMMENDATION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PROGRAM


My experience at Top Star Hotel Cabanatuan City was the bes t. I’m
looking forward to seeing this hotel become a five-star hotel soonest.
