INTRODUCTION
Technical Services is pleased to announce the release of the 306ci/ 356ci/406ci HyPAS Capable A4 Color MFP’s. The
356ci/406ci models utilize a 7.0 inch Color LED Touch Panel that provides low energy consumption with a User Friendly
Interface. The 306ci utilizes a 4.3 inch Color LED Touch Panel. Wireless capability is optional on all models.

DEALER LIMITED WARRANTIES FOR ECOSYS SERIES PRINTERS & MFP’S

KYOCERA Document Solutions America, Inc. (“KYOCERA”) warrants its new color Multifunctional Products (referred to
herein as “MFP”) to Authorized Dealers as follows:

Mainframes and Accessories. The MFP’s mainframe and accessories are warranted against defects in workmanship
and material under normal use and service for a period of 36 months from installation with first end-user, or 39 months
from KYOCERA’s invoice date to Dealer, or the specified number of copies/prints as listed below, whichever occurs first
(referred to herein as “MFP Warranty Period”). KYOCERA’s obligation hereunder is expressly limited to providing Dealer
with the parts required to repair the MFP or crediting Dealer's account for the cost of said parts, at KYOCERA's election.

Maintenance Kits. Maintenance Kits consist of the developing unit, the drum unit, the transfer belt, and the fixing unit.
Components of Maintenance Kits included with the original MFP are warranted against defects in material and
workmanship for a period of 36 months from date of installation with first end-user, or 39 months from KYOCERA’s
invoice date to Dealer (referred to herein as Original Maintenance Kit Warranty Period), or the specified number of
copies/prints listed below (referred to herein as Original Maintenance Kit Copy Allowance), whichever occurs first.
Replacement Maintenance Kits purchased and installed after the Original Maintenance Kit Copy Allowance has expired,
shall have a limited warranty for the specified number of copies/prints listed below, or until the Original Maintenance Kit
Warranty Period expires, whichever occurs first. Replacement Maintenance Kits purchased and installed after the
Original Maintenance Kit Warranty Period has expired shall have a limited warranty of 90 days. To be covered by this
90 day warranty, the Replacement Kit must be installed and registered prior to the MFP exceeding 10% of the Original
Maintenance Kit Copy Allowance.

These warranties do not cover MFPs or components of Maintenance Kits which: (a) have become damaged due to
operator negligence, misuse, accidents, improper storage or unusual physical or electrical stress, (b) have used parts or
supplies which are not genuine KYOCERA brand parts or supplies, (c) have been installed or serviced by a technician
not employed by KYOCERA or an Authorized KYOCERA Dealer, (d) have had the serial number modified, altered, or
removed, or (e) Dealer fails to register the installation information for the MFP with KYOCERA utilizing KDAconnect.

THESE WARRANTIES SHALL BE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. KYOCERA SHALL NOT BE
LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHICH MAY ARISE OUT OF THE USE OF, OR
INABILITY TO USE, THE MFP.

WARRANTY RETURNS

To submit any Parts RETURN, simply log on to our Order and Tracking System, go to Returns and request a
Return Authorization. Select the appropriate Return Type.

To Process your Warranty Claim and verify other key information, the Maintenance Pages, Status
Page, Service Status Page, Event Log & Image Quality Samples must be included if the item is to be
returned to the National Return Center or Uploaded, if prompted to do so. If all of these are not
Included or Uploaded with the Warranty Claim, your request may be delayed or denied.

To ensure quality, especially of new products, we will have parts returned on new product introductions for a
period of approximately six months.

Product Training 306ci/356ci/406ci Technical Training Course (Learning Center)

Prerequisites 3051ci - 5501i Update Technical Training Course (Learning Center) or
Previous TASKalfa Classroom Training

Product Training for the New Color 306ci/356ci/406ci MFP’s is offered

as an On-Line Technical Training Course available at the Learning
Center on KDAconnect.

The 3051ci - 5501i Update Technical Training Course on the

Learning Center or TASKalfa MFP Classroom Training is a
Prerequisite and must be completed before you can take the
306ci/356ci/406ci Technical Training Course.

The Dealership can place their first order for training equipment prior
to authorization, but additional equipment purchases require that at least one Technician has completed the
306ci/356ci/406ci On-Line Technical Training Course with an overall score of 80% or higher.

Regional Classroom training is available for Dealer Technicians that do not meet the perquisites. Please
contact your regional Technical Manager for availability.

Defective PCB’s being returned within the 3-Year warranty period must be returned to the National Return
Center utilizing the Parts Warranty Registration & Return System on KDAconnect. Print out the Return
Authorization form obtained through the system and return it with the Circuit Board for Credit. Any associated
mounting brackets, hardware, system software and original packaging must be included with the claim. Credit
will then be issued to your account.

For defective PCB’s out of warranty, a Repair PCB must be ordered from the Parts Distribution Center. The
dealer will be charged 100% of the New PCB price. The defective PCB can be returned using the Online
Repair Board Core Form within 30 days of the Repair PCB invoice date. Upon receipt of the defective PCB
at the National Return Center, the dealer will be credited 55% of the New PCB price. If a New PCB is ordered
instead of a Repair PCB, credit will not be issued for the returned defective PCB.

COLOR PROFILES

Kyocera provides the option of registering two different Color Profiles on the MFP if the default Kyocera color
reproduction does not meet your Customers needs.
Six different Color Profiles are preloaded on the 356ci/406ci Standard Hard Drive. The Kyocera Color profile
is the default for Copy/Print as Color Table 1. When Printing, the Print Driver Properties will show this setting
under Color Reproduction “Printer Setting” shown on the Imaging tab. You can also overwrite the Kyocera
profile if custom color reproduction is required as the default. You can add an additional Color Profile as Color
Table 2, which is available by manually clicking the Color Reproduction dropdown and selecting “Custom
Table” from the Printer Driver. See the MFP Online Training course for more details.

Custom Color Profiles are not preloaded on the 306ci. Color profiles can be requested as necessary to meet
your customers Custom Color Reproduction. A Hard Drive is not required, as the profile is loaded into memory.
The profiles can only be loaded one at a time and are selectable in the same manner as the 356ci/406ci.

MEMORY SPECIFICATIONS AND REFERENCE

The 306ci MFP is standard-equipped with 1GB of Built-in Memory, which can be upgraded to a maximum of
2GB by adding one 1GB DIMM in the empty Slot. A 32GB or 128GB SSD is available as an option.
The 356ci/406ci is standard-equipped with 2GB of Memory, not-upgradable. A 320GB Hard Drive is standard.

Utility DESCRIPTION
Kyocera NET Admin Kyocera NET Admin is Kyocera's unified device management
solution that uses a web-based platform to give network
administrators easy control of all network enabled printing devices.

Kyocera NET Admin is web-based, no client software installation is

necessary.
Kyocera NET Viewer Administrator Utility, which monitors Kyocera network devices with
the ability to display and report device conditions via e-mail using
SMTP.
Kyocera Net Direct Print Allows Direct Printing of Adobe PDF’s without launching Adobe’s
Acrobat or Acrobat Reader applications.
Quick Set-up Utility Quick Set-up Utility for Network Administrators used to set-up IP
Printing and Addresses on Network Printers.
Color Optimizer The Color Optimizer is a plug-in developed for the KX Driver. The
objective of the Color Optimizer is to help the End User sample
and/or select from a variety of color shades that best match the
target color on the document to be printed.
FMU The File Management Utility (FMU) distributes documents scanned
on a multifunction print system (MFP) to specified network folders or
computers. The user can set the criteria for distributing the scanned
