Places to visit
Hegra
Also known as al-Hijr or Mada'in Saleh,
Hegra is the crown jewel of Saudi Arabia's
archaeological attractions and was the country's first site to be inscribed on the
UNESCO World Heritage List.
Built between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, this ancient city is home
to an impressive necropolis with tombs carved out of sandstone amidst the desert
landscape of northwestern Saudi Arabia.
Maraya Concert Hall
Maraya Concert Hall is a cultural center
with a wonderful architecture that seems
invisible in the desert of Al-Ula, in Saudi
Arabia. This is due to its cube-shaped
structure that measures 9,740 square
meters and is covered with mirrors, which
manages to mimic the facade with the
natural environment, reflecting the reddish
and sandy colors of the landscape.
Habitas AlUla
Offering a fitness center, terrace, restaurant and bar, Habitas AlUla is located in Al
Ula. This 5-star hotel offers free WiFi, concierge service and luggage storage. The
property is non-smoking and 24 km from Madain Saleh Tombs.
Elephant Rock
This iconic geological marvel is a
wonder to see in the daylight or at
nighttime. As the sun sets, colours
dance in the sky and this epic
elephant turns a magnificent shade of
red. Capture the perfect picture or
stay for late-night stargazing.
Dotting the area surrounding this
famous landmark, find sunken
seating, great for families or groups of friends.
The Great Mosque of Mecca
The Great Mosque of Mecca, known in Arabic as al-Masjid al-Haram (Arabic: اَ ْل َمسْ ِج ُد
ْٱل َح َرا ُم, lit. 'The Holy Mosque'), is the largest mosque in the world, is located in the
city of Mecca (Saudi Arabia) and its central courtyard contains the Kaaba, the
holiest place in Islam. Embedded in the Kaaba is the Black Stone that Muslims try
to touch in the course of circumambulations during the pilgrimage (the Hajj).
National Museum
The Saudi National Museum features
eight sections filled with the spirit of
history, starting with the Hall of Man
and the Universe, where you will learn
about the origin of the universe and the
solar system, as well as the natural
factors that influenced its evolution
millions of years ago The Hall of
Ancient Arab Kingdoms allows you to
immerse yourself in civilizations that
spanned from the fourth millennium
B.C. to the second century A.D., and pre-Islamic social and religious lifestyles are
featured in the Hall of the Pre-Islamic Era, and the biography of the Prophet
Muhammad - peace and blessings of Allah be upon him - is reflected in the hall of
the Prophet's mission, from revelation to his migration to Medina. Next, the history
of the unification of the Kingdom is featured in a documentary within the hall of the
unification of the Kingdom, and the hall of the Hajj and the two holy mosques
include aspects of the urban development of the Great Mosque of Makkah and the
Prophet.
Al Masjid an Nabawi
The Prophet's Mosque (Arabic: ويPPجد النبPP المسAl-Masjid
an-Nabawī) is a mosque originally established and
built by the Islamic prophet Muhammad, located in
Medina, in the Hijaz region of Saudi Arabia. It was
the third mosque built in Islamic history and is now
one of the largest mosques in the world. It is the
second holiest mosque in Islam - between the Great
Mosque in Mecca and the Al-Aqsa Mosque (next to
the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem).
