[Development aim]
The newly developed VRVIII cooling only type single outdoor unit series enable mixed combination of VRV and
residential indoor units by connecting BP unit in order to expand sales in ASEAN residential market.
In addition, piping will be simplified by special model for cooling only type as single use.

· VRV indoor units

All current VRVIII indoor units, outdoor-air processing units and Heat Reclaim Ventilator (VAM/VKM) units can
be connected.
However, outdoor-air processing units and Heat Reclaim Ventilator (VAM/VKM) units cannot be connected
when mixed combination of VRV and residential indoor units.

[Changing points from base outdoor unit model ]
1) Limitation as single use
· Simplification of piping (Remove EV circuit, etc.)
2) Simplification by specialization for cooling only
· Simplification of piping and miniaturization of accumulator
3) Automatic charge and leak detection function are not mounted.
4) Selection method of indoor units
· The capacity of the VRV indoor unit decreases by the difference of control when mixed combination of
VRV and residential indoor units. Therefore, the capacity correction is necessary when VRV indoor unit is
selected. For selection method, refer to the Engineering Data.
5) Piping limitation
· Piping limitation will be changed. Refer to the Engineering Data for details.
