Note: (i) Conventional type applications will be summarily rejected. Candidates shall
apply online only by One Time Registration to [Link].
(ii) In the absence of suitable candidates, the vacancies set apart for By Transfer
recruitment shall be filled up by the candidates from the Ranked List
prepared for Direct recruitment.
(iii) The applicant should be an approved probationer/Full member of the Kerala
General Education subordinate service as on the date of application.
(iv) Separate Ranked Lists will be prepared for each district in pursuance of this
notification. The Ranked list thus prepared and published by the
Commission, shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year,
subject to the condition that the said list will continue to be in force till the
publication of a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year
or till the expiry of three years whichever is earlier. Candidates will be
advised for appointment against the vacancies reported during the currency
of the lists. In case no candidate is advised from the ranked list till the expiry
of the period of three years, the duration of the ranked list shall be extended
for a further period of one year or till at least one candidate is advised from
the list whichever is earlier.
(v) The selection in pursuance of this notification will be made on a revenue
district basis, subject to the special conditions laid down in G.O.
(Ms)No.154/71/PD dated, 27.05.1971. A candidate advised for appointment
in one revenue district from the Ranked List prepared is not eligible for
transfer to another district unless he/she completes five years continuous
service from the date of commencement of service in the former district.
Even if transfer is allowed after five years, it will be subject to the rules in
G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961. Candidates already in Government
service holding the same post in any one district are prohibited from
applying again for this post, but they can apply to higher posts when
notified.
(vi) Applications should not be submitted to more than one district in
response to this notification. If applications are submitted contrary
to the above direction, and if he/she is selected, his/her name will be
removed from the Ranked List and disciplinary action will be taken against
him/her. Candidates should submit the application for this post to the
concerned district office and should note the name of the district against the
relevant column of the online application.
(vii) The rules regarding the reservation of appointment contemplated in Rule 14
to 17 in Part II of the KS & SSR are not applicable to recruitment by
transfer.
5. Method of appointment: Recruitment by transfer from among the employees who
have completed the prescribed service and who are working
as Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant in the General
Education Department.
6. Age Limit : Not applicable.

7. Qualifications:-
1) A Degree in the concerned subject and [Link]/BT in the concerned subject both
conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. (Concerned subject are
specified in Note (iii) below.
2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post
conducted by the Government of Kerala
Exemption: Candidates who have qualified CTET/NET/SET/[Link]/Ph.D/[Link].
in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET (G.O. (P) No.
145/16/[Link]. Dated 30.08.16 and G.O. (P) No. 206/16/[Link]. Dated 08.12.2016).
Note: (i) [Link] in the concerned subject be the one awarded by any of the Universities
- in Kerala or recognised as equivalent by any of the Universities in Kerala.
(ii) The Employees of the General Education Department who entered service
before 31.03.2012 and have completed the prescribed period of service as
Clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant are exempted from acquiring K-TET
qualification .
(iii) The applicant should have taken History or Economics or Geography or
Politics or Commerce or Philosophy or Music or Sociology as main subject
for Graduation.
(iv) Diploma in Rural Service awarded by the National Council for Rural Higher
Education will also be treated as equivalent to Degree for the above purpose.
(v) Post Graduates in concerned subject with [Link]/BT in the concerned subject
are also eligible to apply for the post.
(vi) The following qualifications are also acceptable for appointment to the post of
High School Assistant (Social Science)
a) BA Degree in Islamic History and Urdu Double main and [Link] in Social
Studies

(vii) The disciplines in which graduation and post graduation were obtained should
be mentioned in the application.
(viii) If there is a written (Descriptive/OMR) test the Question paper for the
written test will be in Malayalam. The candidates should answer the
questions in Malayalam. In the case of OMR Answer Script, answers are to
be marked as instructed.
(ix) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant
Government Orders during verification to prove that the qualification claimed
is equivalent to the prescribed qualification for the post.
NB: Rule 10(a) ii of Part II of KS&SSR is applicable for this post.
3) Candidates should have service not less than 5 years as
clerk/Typist/Attender/Office Attendant in the General Education Department as on
the date of application.

Candidates must register as per “ ONE TIME REGISTRATION” with the Official
Website of Kerala Public Service Commission '[Link]' before
applying for the post. Candidates who have registered shall apply by logging in to
their profile using their user ID and password. Candidates must click on the `Apply
Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The
photograph uploaded should be one taken after 31.12.2010. Name of the candidate
and the date of taking photograph should be printed at the bottom portion. The
photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from
the date of taking the photograph. There is no change in other instructions
regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates
can view details in their profile by clicking the link 'Registration Card' in their
profile and a printout can be taken if needed. Candidates are responsible for the
correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before final
submission of the application on the profile, candidates must ensure correctness of
the information in their profile. They must quote the User ID for further
communication with the Commission. Application once submitted is provisional
and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Application will be summarily
rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing.
Documents to prove qualification, Experience, community, Age, etc., have to be

11. If written /OMR/Online Test is conducted as part of this selection, candidates shall
submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time
Registration profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the
Admission Tickets in the last 15 days till the date of Test. The applications of
candidates who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period, will be
rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the
availability of Admission Tickets will be published in the Examination Calender
itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective
profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it. Appropriate displinary
action as per KPSC Rules of Procedure Rule 22 shall be initiated against those
candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding
education ,experience etc and submit confirmation for writing the examination
,irrespective of whether they are present or absent for the examination.
