ALE-47 airborne countermeasures dispenser system
T hreats to today’s airspace are both sophisticated and continuously
evolving. BAE Systems‘ ALE-47 counters these threats
by identifying and defeating infrared and radio frequency
guided missiles. As the standard for the United
States and international allies, the system uses
information from integrated electronic warfare
sensors such as radar warning and missile
warning receivers to determine the appropriate
and optimized countermeasures response.
ALE-47 operates as a stand-alone product, is integrated with
established EW systems like Digital Electronic Warfare
System (DEWS), and also plays a crucial role in BAE Systems’ threat
management suite. This includes the Common Missile Warning
System (CMWS) and the Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM)
System, which combine to create a complete package for battlespace protection.

ALE-47 operates on a wide variety of fighters, transports,
helicopters, and special mission aircraft worldwide
I nstalled on more than 4,000 systems in over 30 countries, ALE-47 has proven its effectiveness in the battlefield and has
become the trusted system of choice for aircrew survivability. Specialized engineering and manufacturing enables system
flexibility, platform customization, and continuous product support.
