Digital Signature Certificate(DSC)


(Controller General of Patents, Designs &
Trademarks)
Go to “New to DSC” and click on “Component”
Extract the downloaded file for [Link]

In case of 64 bit window:


Paste [Link] in sysWOW64 (Local C--->windows--->sysWOW64)

In case of 32 bit window:


Paste [Link] in system32 (Local C--->windows--->system32)
STEP TO INSTALL [Link]

The Installation of or registration of [Link] varies according to the Windows bit version like 32 bit
version or 64 bit.

 For Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (32 bit)


 For Windows 7 or Windows 8 (64 bit)

To see windows bit version right click on My Computer and choose property, given below screen show
Windows bit version
 For Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (32 bit)
 Go to My Computer/ Local Disc (C:)/Windows/ System32
 Copy [Link] to My Computer/ Local Disc (C:)/Windows/ System32

 Search cmd file


 Right click on cmd and open in Administrator Mode
 Type command regsvr32 [Link]
 On clicking Enter button, the successful installation message displays.

 For Windows 7 or Windows 8 (64 bit)

 Click on windows Start button


 Type “%systemroot%\SysWoW64\” in the search text box to open system folder
 Copy the corresponding [Link] to following folder “%systemroot%\SysWoW64\”
 Open the cmd prompt in administrator mode
 Goto folder “%systemroot%\SysWoW64” from cmd prompt
 Run command “regsvr32 [Link]”
 On clicking the ‘Enter’ button, the successful installation message displays.

 IE Settings

Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run

1. Search “Webstore” on Google & Open Chrome Web Store
2. Search “IE Tab” In extensions
3. Click on “IE Tab”
4. Click on “Add to Chrome” & you will redirected to a new webpage

5. Scroll down and download “ IE Tab Helper” & installed in your PC
6. Restart Chrome
7. Go to extension bar on Chrome and pin the IE Tab
8. Go to Internet Options [Press window icon –search- internet option] in your
Computer/laptop

9. Choose Security icon – then


select Internet- then go to
custom level
10. Change the setting as per below table in settings

12. Click on IE tab to open the page in IE mode.
13. A new Address bar will be created as shown
Now you are able to sign through DSC

Always use IE Tab for signing the documents in efiling patents.
