sustainable development crises at the
same time, creating synergies.

What steps has India taken towards achieving the SDG?
India has launched the national solar mission which aims to promote the use of solar energy and increase solar
capacity. India has invested in multiple renewable energy initiatives which promotes clean energy and creates
job opportunities.
India has taken several measures to achieve sustainable development goals. India has significantly increased its capacity for
renewable sources such has solar and wind power. The national solar mission aimed to install 100GW of solar power by 2022,
which was subsequently increased to 175GW and 450 GW by 2030. India has initiated various skill development programs to
enhance the employ-ability of its workforce, such as the national skill development [Link] has shown impressive growth in
recent years, with the gross domestic product growing at an average rate of 7.5% between 2014 and 2019. However, the COVID-19
pandemic has affected the Indian economy, and the GDP contracted by 7.7% in the financial year 2020-21. Despite this setback, the
Indian government has taken several measures to revive the economy, including a stimulus package of $266 [Link] the goal of
achieving universal access to electricity and clean cooking facilities, India has embarked on an ambitious journey towards energy
sustainability
What is the current status of USA in achieving SDG goals.
The country of USA has made several steps toward the SDG s that have had an incredible positive affect. There are plenty of
policies in place but just to name a few there is the Small Business Administration (SBA) which help in achieving SDG8. Then
there is also the Workforce innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Which is one of the main policies in place that help us strive
towards SDG8. As for SDG7 there a plenty of policies in place like Renewable energy portfolio standards (RPS). Which is a major
policy that is in place in various different states in the USA. But for SDG7 we are committed in promoting the usage of Nuclear
energy production throughout the whole country
Which schemes are launched by Japan to meet SDG 7 or 8?
Japan has implement bilateral assistance through JICA to support job opportunities for developing countries
It has implemented programs like the green-works programme in which young people are engaged the construction and
rehabilitation of rural infrastructure in vulnerable community. Youth receive technical and managerial skills which link them to
immediate access to employment and income generating opportunities
The government also plans to support the creation of 300,000 jobs over the next 3 years
Next generation solar cell the technology for which Japan has been a leader in terms of research and development is an important
research topic at the GZR
It also provides different kinds of awards to start up to build the companies credibility
Global zero emission Research Centre established by the National Institute of advance Science and Technology plays a central role
in its aim to reduce nationwide Greenhouse gas in Japan.
It has also launched an economic plan to double the national income in 10 years.
The two major plants for maintaining the high rate of economic growth are 5 year plan for self support economy, the new long
range economic plan.
In an effort to boost household purchasing power the government and Bank of Japan are urging firms to hike workers wages.
It has adopted an income doubling plan under which it has lowered interest rates and rapidly expanded government investment in
infrastructure, buildings, Railways, etc.
Programs like the fiscal investment and loan program collect funds through government Financial Institutions and uses the funds to
finance public project.
Which schemes are launched by UK to meet SDG 7 or 8?
The United Kingdom is actively Transitioning to Renewable energy with the help of offshore wind farms we focus on transitioning
from fossil fuels to renewable sources .
The UK has also set a legally binding target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050
The UK is also investing in various research and innovations to get technology for clean energy
Regarding the 8th SDG we are actively combating the gender inequality system in the work places which has consequently led to
income inequality. To fight against this the UK is taking measures like the National Living Wage which provide all workers with a
minimum income [Link] UK is also working towards creating more job opportunities for everyone.
