Guidelines

This document provides the rules and guidelines for a circuit designing competition. Participants will be given a problem and must design a circuit using electronic components to generate the required output. Teams of up to 3 students will have 30 minutes to design their circuit on paper, build it using a breadboard, and demonstrate the output. Teams will be judged based on their paper design, their ability to build the working circuit, and whether the correct output is produced. The use of phones or internet is prohibited during the competition.

CIRCUIT DESIGNING

This event involves designing of circuits from the available components to generate
the desired output challenged in the questionnaire. It’s a time-based event and the
early better is the strategy need to be followed with a gist of accuracy. An
application would be provided to you in-form of a problem and you need to make
a circuit for performing that particular experiment using various electronic
components and present the required output to the jury members.

Aim:
To develop working circuits by brainstorming with all the knowledge
achieved about various electronic and electrical components.

Rules:
1. After assessing the question, team members need to make the list of the
components by their own along with the circuit diagram and present it to the
jury members. After that they will be allowed to pick up the necessary
components and implement the circuit and present the output to the jury
members.
2. Use of mobile phones or any other entity having internet connectivity is
prohibited and will be immediately expelled if caught.

3. Partial marking would be done to according to the circuit completed and the
output presented.

4. Time limit for the competition is 30 min.

Judging Criteria:
1. Circuit implemented on paper without taking hints: 20 points
2. Circuit implemented on bread board with correct output
presented: 30 points

3. Circuit implemented on bread board with distorted or indecent

output presented: 15 points

4. And hints to be provided if asked for with deduction of points.

Per hint: -15 points

Rules on Team structure:

1. Maximum 3 members are allowed in a team.

2. Members of a team may be from same college/school or different
(K12/UG/PG).
3. Any number of teams can participate from one college/school
4. Professionals are not allowed. Only students can participate.
5. Participants are required to bring their school/college ID Card.
6. A team member can’t be a part of more than one team.
7. Bring your college/student I-Card at the time of competition.
8. Any of the above-mentioned rules, if found violated, teams would not
be allowed to participate in the competition.

9. In any case, Jury’s decision is final and binding for all.

• Any misbehaviour will lead you to disqualification from the competition.

• If less than 5 team registers then the event will be cancelled.
• All the three prizes will be given only if more than 10 team registers.
Otherwise only 2 prizes will be given by reducing prize money accordingly.
• PROBLEM STATEMENT IS SUBJECTED TO CHANGE WHICH WOULD BE
UPDATED ON WEBSITE.
