Cover page [2 marks]
[This will contain title of the report, the name of the entity for which it was prepared, the
name of the person who prepared it, the date the report is to be presented. This page should
not be numbered].
Abstract [10 marks]
[This should contain a summary of the main body of the report. It should be about one page
in length and must highlight all salient issues in the main body. Anyone who reads only the
abstract should get a full picture of the contents of the main report. Roman numbering must
be used. This page will therefore be numbered ‘i’.]
Table of Content Page [3 marks]
[Sub-headings and the respective pages that can be located in the main body of the report
shall be listed in the table of contents. This becomes a reference point for a reader who wants
to do selective reading of details of the report. This page must also be numbered using
Roman numeral, e.g. ii.]
1. Introduction [2 marks]
[Write briefly about AU, College of Business Peace Leadership and Governance and
attachment as a requirement for the degree programmes offered in CBPLG. This must not be
more than one page.]
2. Company Background and History [2 marks]
Write the history and background of the organization you were attachment to. This must not
be more than three pages. [2]

2.4 Core Business [3 marks]
[State the main line of business of the organization you were attached to.]
3. Organizational Structure [5 marks]
Present the company’s organizational chart to give visual effect. Describe the company’s
authority structure: from the CEO to the lowest level of departments. You must describe the
various departments and what they do, the title of the person in charge of each department,
who they report to and who reports to them. The description should not be too lengthy.
3. Business Environment [of the organization attached to]
3.1 Macro Business Environment [5 marks]
The macro environmental forces you need to discuss here are economic, political, socio-
cultural, technological, and geographical, etc in the country/region/etc at the time of
attachment and how they affected the company or organization.
3.2 Industry Environment [5 marks]
You need to discuss the configuration of the industry; the nature of competition in the
industry in the particular country, region, etc, at the time of the attachment and how they
affected the organisation you were attached to.
4. Attachment Experience [10 marks]
Write about your experience in all the departments you worked in. State the period you spent
in the department and the various tasks performed in the department according to
chronological order.
4.1 Extent of theory Application in work Environment [5 marks]
[Indicate the extent that you were able to apply some of the concepts, knowledge, skills and
attitudes you had acquired at AU in the work environment.]
4.2 New Skills Acquired [4 marks]
[Report on things that you could not do prior to going on attachment that you can now do or
perform better after attachment.]

[No organization is perfect; therefore you cannot say you did not notice any problem in the
organization. State key managerial problems identified while you were on attachment. Do not
mistake the symptoms of the problem for the problem]
5.1 Literature Review [Related to the Managerial problem(s)] [6 marks]
[Build a skeleton of the literature review first. It does not have to be a very long essay like the
one for a real project. You must undertake a secondary research on the sub areas you want to
write on by reading the latest articles in current relevant journals or, on the Internet, etc and
collect secondary data. The literature review is supposed to be a critique. You have to
examine the various contributions of various authors on relevant related issues. Make
comparison of different schools of thought, express your own ideas as well where appropriate
and present your literature review in an articulate and logical manner. Avoid outright copying
or plagiarism. Where you do use the direct words of another author, do put them in
quotes/quotation marks. Acknowledge all authors used. Literature review may cover business
environment, relevant industry related issues, and the specific managerial problem[s]
identified.]
5.2 Results/Possible Solutions to the Managerial Problem [6 marks]
[You have to justify your solutions. You may borrow solutions from existing literature, but
you have to put them within the context of the organisation concerned. Your ability to
suggest improvements and solutions to problems while on attachment speaks volumes about
your creativity and level of initiative.]

[State work/task related problems as well as any social problems you might have faced while
you were on attachment and how you were able to overcome those that you managed to

supposed to be a feedback mechanism to enable the College to enrich the curriculum, so that
both students and organizations will mutually benefit more from industrial attachment.]
