MEMORANDUM

TO: All Personnel of Golden Horizon Bank

FROM: MARICRIS I. OCAMPO & JANISH JESSIE G. TANTUAN
Head Personnel of Golden Horizon Bank
DATE: April 28, 2023
SUBJECT: Proper dress code

The Golden Horizon Bank takes pride in its professional environment and the positive image that
its employees present as representatives of the company. This image is influenced by the dress
code we use in our offices, in our clients' offices, and in public when we represent the firm. We
are always looking for new ways to make our company a better place to work.

Below is an outline of acceptable business attire, as well as a list of some of the more common
items that are not appropriate for our office environment. The Golden Horizon Bank dress code
applies to all employees.

MEN’S PROPER DRESS CODE:

● Suits
- Dark colors, such as black, dark blue, or navy blue, are generally preferred. Suits come in
one-piece, two-piece, and three-piece variations and make sure to buy them as a
complete set so that the pieces match perfectly.
● Accessories:
- Ties are required for men. Always wear a red, green, or blue silk tie with no distracting
patterns. Also, the tie should end just above the waist buckle. It should not extend past
the buckle and should not hang too high above it.
● Shoes:
- Men should always wear shoes made of black or brown leather. Open-toed office shoes
are also permitted in warmer climates. The most important thing to remember is that
shoes should always be polished and clean, with no dust or grime stuck to them.
● Haircut:
- Men's hair should be cut short.

WOMEN’S PROPER DRESS CODE:

● Suits
- Suits are available in two styles: suit and skirt; suit and pants. Dark colors are generally
preferred, such as black, dark blue, or navy blue.
● Accessories:
- Silk scarves can be worn as a substitute for ties by women and can be wrapped lightly
around the neck or just under the collar. Make an effort to avoid using ties in bright colors
or that are too loud.
- Skin-colored hosiery and stockings are recommended. Carry an extra in case the first
one tears.
● Shoes:
- Women can wear close-toed shoes, stylish heels, or flats that complement their
wardrobe. Sandals and flip-flops are not allowed.
● Haircut:
- Women are not allowed to have colored hair. If they have grey hair, they should color it.

WHAT TO AVOID:

● Excessive or strong perfumes and colognes. Try not to wear too much perfume, as this is
usually frowned upon by employers.
● Avoid wearing too much jewelry and accessories. When wearing accessories, try to be as
neutral as possible. This includes not wearing expensive watches, rings, or other jewelry.
● Do not try to attract unwanted negative attention by wearing provocative dresses. Wear
only light makeup and shades that are not too bright.
● Remove all body piercings and tattoos. Though these are becoming more common in
many establishments, keep them hidden because many customers find them intimidating.

The way an employee dresses and acts point out how much he respects and cherishes the
organization. They are the company's representatives, so it is their responsibility to be well-
dressed to attract and please customers. Let us all work together to maintain a professional
image in the eyes of clients and the public. It is highly important that employees dress
appropriately using their best judgment.

Thank you.
