ABSTRACT
This study describes the level of traffic safety on the Pantura road Tuban - Lamongan - Gresik
which is the main highway that connects cities around the city of Surabaya. This lane is a
very congested lane, with all kinds of vehicles passing through it, from light vehicles to heavy
vehicles. Due to the sometimes uncontrollable density, this route is one of the traffic accident
prone lanes. This study involves research data collection methods, and also involves legal
aspects, technical aspects, identification of existing problems and their causal factors,
analysis of accident rates, analysis of key accident indicators, statistical analysis and countermeasures.
The recommended recommendations are based on scientific analysis of 13 accident-prone
points on the Gresik-Lamongan-Tuban pantura road, then taking the most accident-prone
points.
