read. They will plan the play and write a first draft in the lesson and finish the play and
write it neatly.

The rationale for learning is that learners will listen a play story and subsequently
incorporate them in their writing through drafting, sharing, or editing. Promoting
listening skills and listening comprehension, fostering imagination, as well as
improving vocabulary usage and writing techniques among learners.

The main idea of this play story is that the writer wants to communicate a moral
message to the audience through the narrative, characters, and settings

INTRODUCTORY PHASE The teacher gets learners motivated, curious and ready to learn by Pictures

raced to the shop, and ran home. But his mother was cross with

Chalkboard
TEACHING & LEARNING

The teacher will read aloud the story twice using facial Chalk
expressions to demonstrate emotions, using pauses to create Flow chart
dramatic effects and eye contact to connect with the learners.
PHASE

The teacher will also be in character, acting out parts of the book,
also repeating and rhyming words by so doing helping learners to
remember the words.

After reading the story twice explain to the learners that they will
write their own plays based on the story the teacher has read.
They will plan the play and write the first draft in the lesson
