From childhood, having an interest in medicine and being a caring person were natural reasons for choosing the

medical field to study. I used to find out how the human body works and the functions of each organ from an
early age by asking my mother. In secondary school, our biology and chemistry teacher used to give me extra
information about the subject, and we sometimes experimented with different substances in the laboratory since
I was the most active child in the class. At the age of 16, I took a 3-month medical course from which I learned
how to treat a sick person, gained knowledge about the causes and symptoms of various illnesses, and most
interestingly, learned injection skills. In this course, I mastered my intravenous and intramuscular injection
skills, and I got a certificate that indicates I have basic nursing knowledge. My practical experience contributed
to my passion for becoming a doctor. Whenever I helped a sick person heal, I enjoyed the gratitude of the
patient, and seeing somebody get better makes a person experience different kinds of feelings. After making my
point clear, I started to learn biology at the same time. When my neighbors caught the flu or contracted an
illness, I was ready to do my best for their health, and this was the experience that taught me how to treat them
properly. By the way, I studied English because I wanted to study abroad and be one of the most professional
doctors in the future. However, I was not sure which country to choose. Simultaneously, Korea came to mind
because I was informed about Korean culture and its lifestyle by my aunt, who has been a resident of this
country for more than 13 years and got Korean citizenship, and it makes it easy to study and live there. I heard a
lot about Korean universities; however, Kyungpook National University is the perfect option to study medicine
there. As far as I decided to study at Kyungpook University, I was sure that it is one of the best universities in
Korea, and if I work on myself without distractions, I will become one of the most skilled specialists in my job.
At first, I will learn the Korean language. It will not be hard since I already know the Korean alphabet and some
basic words. Then I study hard for my major. After graduating from university, I will get a job in South Korea to
improve my skills.
