Tiktok Presentation

Young, Black, femme content creators on TikTok play an important role in educating audiences both intentionally and unintentionally. They create videos sharing Black history facts, teaching life skills, and raising awareness of issues faced by marginalized groups. While aiming to entertain and spread joy, these creators' videos also highlight invisible labor and promote underrepresented voices and experiences. TikTok serves as a site of both formal and informal education, with content creators challenging dominant narratives and advocating for the value of all types of knowledge.
