Question 1
a)
Blooket is an online learning platform that uses gaming to increase student engagement. With
the many game types and features it offers, educators may design engaging and dynamic
learning experiences for their students. There are some aspects of Blooket. Firstly is Game-
based learning. Blooket is founded on the idea of game-based learning, in which learning
resources are delivered as games. This method incorporates entertaining and competitive
components into the learning process with the goal of increasing student motivation and
engagement. On the other hand, Blooket has a variety of game modes, each with its own set
of guidelines and features. For instance, Tower Defense, students respond to questions in
order to defend their towers in this game mode. While the wrong responses can make their
towers more open to attack, the right ones strengthen the defense.

Therefore, the students will be shown the question that provides by teacher based on the
multiple questions. Figure 2 shows the example of questions that provided by teacher
Figure 2
Based on Figure 2, each student can choose only one answer for each question. If their
answer is true, they will get benefit from the game they play. For instance, in my case, we are
playing games about gold. Every student who choose right answer they collect gold as much
as they want. The winner will be seen by which students get more golds. The game can be
shown on the figure 3 and figure 4.

A teacher created Plickers as an assessment tool in order to find a quick and easy approach to
verify that students understood the material. Without requiring students to utilize gadgets or
paper and pencil, this assessment solution enables teachers to gather formative assessment
data on the spot. Teachers can utilize this tool while on the fly or in conjunction with prior
planning. Teachers can use this tool to get the information they need to improve their
teaching. It's an enjoyable activity for children and a useful tool for teachers to gather data.
Therefore, teachers mostly utilize Plickers to get instant feedback on how well their students
are understanding a lesson or an exam. Type of learning Plickers is online lessons and games
facilitate learning. Because they enjoy the assessment activity, students remain attentive
throughout. Plickers also very easy to use for students. To display their response, they simply
need to spin a card. incredibly easy for teachers to scan, project, and use the software. You
can load questions in advance or on a "need to" basis. Plickers cards are simple to manage,
and they are available in larger font sizes for younger pupils to read as well as in sizes
appropriate for larger auditoriums.
Therefore, although Plicker is primarily meant to be used in conventional educational
settings, it can be somewhat modified for use in online learning situations. In this platform
where the teacher conduct the E-learning session using the Plickers app to create questions.
These questions more in to multiple questions. The questions share to the students through
the Plickers. Students use their physical Plickers cards just like they would in traditional
classroom. They can show their responses to the webcam during the live session. On the
other hand, the teacher use the smartphone to scan the students’ Plickers card through the
video conferencing platform.

with an exploratory, self-paced
learning style.
ii) Advantages of both tools.
There are few of advantages of using Blooket. Firstly is engaging learning environment.
Blooket is well-known for its gamified approach to teaching. By transforming conventional
classroom tasks into interactive games, it increases students' engagement with learning.
Students are motivated to actively participate in the learning process by the competitive
element, which also encourages involvement. Besides that, Blooket allow student to create
their own content. This can foster a sense of ownership and improve their understanding of
the subject matter. Next is versatility in Game Modes. There are several game modes
available on Blooket, including Match, Tower Defense, and Flashcards. Because of its
adaptability, instructors can customize the platform to fit a variety of topic areas and learning
goals. Different game modes provide for a well-rounded educational experience by
accommodating different learning methods. Each game has their own purpose for instance,
the purpose of Flashcards is for learning and memorization and it ideal for vocabulary,
definitions, historical events, and quick recall. Playing around with these diverse game modes
enables students to accommodate a range of subjects, learning styles, and interests. While
keeping the learning process engaging and dynamic, take into account the material that the
educator is teaching and select game modes which promote them objectives for learning. In
addition, Blooket has real-time progress tracking. Real-time monitoring of student progress
by teachers enables prompt feedback and intervention. With Blooket, data analytics can offer
insights on student and individual performance, enabling teachers to modify their pedagogy
to meet the needs of individual students. On the other hand, to watch your students' progress
during the game, ask them to share their displays with educators. For one-on-one or smaller
groups, this approach works well. In Blooket also where student can use a chat for discussion
alongside Blooket for real-time communication. Student also can ask questions or seek
clarification during the game. In addition, the gamified progress tracking create a point
system or reward structure based on correct answers and participation. The progress will be
displayed using a chart or graph.
However, there are a few advantages of using Plickers. Firstly is low-tech solution. A low-
tech alternative called Plickers employs paper cards and a single device (such as a tablet or
smartphone) for the teacher to use. Because of its simplicity, it can be used in classrooms
with little access to computers. Students' experience is made simpler by the inclusion of QR
codes on their student cards, which do away with the requirement for individual devices.
Next, the advantage of using Plickers is anonymous participation. Plickers makes it
possible for students to respond anonymously, creating a relaxed atmosphere that may
encourage increased participation from the students. This feature is very helpful for kids who
are quiet or shy and might be reluctant to express their opinions honestly. Besides, when
replying anonymously, students can feel less pressure from their peers. This helps foster a
more accepting atmosphere, particularly in circumstances where students would be reluctant
to publicly share their thoughts or responses. In addition, anonymous involvement in
formative assessment enables professors to assess the class's overall comprehension without
identifying any particular students. Real-time adjustments to strategies for teaching can be
made with the help of this information. Last but not least, the advantage using the Plickers in
educational platform is quick formative assessment. Quick formative evaluations are where
Plickers appears giving teachers instantaneous insight into students' comprehension. Teachers
can overcome misconceptions and reinforce important topics in real-time by adjusting their
teaching tactics based on this quick feedback. In addition, formative evaluation can be
completed quickly and effectively with Plickers. Instructors can use this time-saving tool to
evaluate student comprehension during a lesson by asking questions, gathering answers, and
analyzing the results in a couple of minutes. On the other hand, based on the real-time
feedback from Plickers tests, educators can modify their pedagogy. If a large percentage of
the class finds a concept difficult, the teacher can address it right away.
iii) Analysis of which tool is more effective.
Based on my experience, I am choosing Blooket is more effective in assessing student
understanding and engagement in a virtual learning environment. This is because Blooket is
widely recognized for being an user-friendliness platform concerning gamified learning and
student involvement in the classroom. Blooket has a user-friendly interface that is simple to
use. It's easy to develop, join, and play games on this platform because it's made with
accessibility for teachers and students in mind. On the other hand, the intuitive interface
makes for educators to design games. For instance, producing quizzes, flashcards, and other
interesting learning activities, the platform offers configurable templates and tools.
Besides that, Blooket is more scalability and ease of implementation. Booklets offer a
standardized framework for material presentation, which facilitates the maintenance of a
unified and expert look. This is especially crucial for any documents or marketing materials
related to a certain brand. Customized booklets can be made to fit certain requirements or
specific audiences. Because of its adaptability, customized booklets that target certain
subjects, markets, or user demographics can be produced.
In addition, engagement and gamification can significantly enhance the learning experience
when using booklets in a learning platform. In this case where Booklet has gamified
challenges which integrate difficulties and real-world situations that are relevant to the
material. Encourage students to use what they've learned to solve challenges, which will
promote critical thinking and real-world application. Besides that, create a story or themed
narrative that runs the entire booklet. This can make studying more captivating and
immersive, grabbing students' interest and helping them remember the material. In addition,
Blooket also able to encourage collaborative learning. For instance, by including group
challenges or activities in the booklet it may encourage collaboration. This encourages
collaboration and lets students take advantage of one another's advantages.
Last but not least, using Blooket for educational learning is more effective tool is because
online learning platform Blooket is well-known for its gamified approach to education. It
provides a variety of question types and flexibility to enhance the learning process and
make it more dynamic and interesting. There are some question types and flexibility in
Blooket and one of them is diverse question formats. For instance, Multiple-choice questions
are supported by Blooket, making it possible to evaluate knowledge and comprehension
quickly and efficiently. Next is true or false questions are useful for evaluating fundamental
comprehension since they are straightforward and easy to understand. Besides, open-ended
questions on Blooket encourage critical thinking and let students explain what they've learned
in their own words. Last but not least, fill in the blank, where this format reinforces specific
details and facts, helping learners recall information accurately.
