CHAPTER 4
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA
This chapter discusses the presentation of the data gathered in this study.
Presentation was done through the use of tables. The analysis and interpretation of
data are shown through tabular presentation.
The study determined the level of motivation of Holy Child Central Colleges,
Inc. Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) students to the
Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) for the school year 2021-2022.

Table 1 shows that there is 68.92% Female grantees of TES and only 31.08%
are Male.

Table 2 shows that in terms of age, 59.46% are 20–25 years old, 25.68% are
26–31 years old, 9.46% are 32–37 years old, 3.38% are 38–43 years old, 1.35% are
44–49 years old, and 0.68 % are 50–55 years old.

Confidence
From the responses of the BTVTED students, in terms of motivation and
confidence, majority Strongly Agreed that they are motivated, interested and it
helped them ready to study well because of the TES.
Every student deserves the opportunity to attend a top school, have access to
abundant educational resources, and learn from well-trained educators. The
education subsidies motivate students to perform well apart from reducing the
financial strain. Financial aid aside, the other benefits of it at school are that they
bring recognition, motivation and confidence.(KP Sheeja, 2019)

Table 3 above shows the perception of BTVTED students to the TES in terms
of motivation and confidence. It was found out that 3 indicators fall on the description
Strongly Agree with range 3.26-4.00 It was noted that indicator 2 comes first with a
mean of 3.69, followed by indicator 3 with a mean of 3.43 and indicator 1 with a
mean of 3.34 while indicator 4 with the description Agree comes fourth with a mean
of 3.24 respectively.
Level of motivation of Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) in terms of
Performance
In terms of performance, the majority Agreed that they could attend all their
classes regularly, were not hesitant to participate in the school activities, and showed
excellent performance in their class and output compliance. Furthermore, they can
focus and pay attention in the discussion and their studies because of the TES.
Getting an education subsidy takes away all your financial concerns. Thus, it
gives you more time to study, gain knowledge and secure better grades. You get
ample time to look for opportunities for skill development and knowledge

Table 4 shows how BTVTED students perceive the TES in terms of
performance. It was found out that all the indicators fall within the description "Agree
with range 2.51-3.25. It was noted that indicator 4 comes first with a mean of 3.21,
followed by indicator 3 with a mean of 3.11, indicator 1 with a mean of 3.10, and
indicator 2 with a mean of 2.95, respectively.

Output Compliance
In terms of output compliance, they were able to make, comply with, and
submit their output and requirements on time.

The education subsidy allows students to focus on academics, increasing their
chances of staying in school and graduating on time. Students who receive
education subsidies have fewer financial concerns, more time to study, and a greater
chance to comply and submit requirements on time ([Link]).

Table 5 depicts BTVTED students' attitudes toward the TES in terms of output
compliance. It was found out that all the indicators fall on the description agree with
range 2.51-3.25. It was noted that indicator 2 comes first with a mean of 3.24,
followed by indicator 1 with a mean of 3.23.
Level of motivation of Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) in terms of
Provision of Education Supplies
In terms of the provision of education supplies, they were able to acquire
books, supplementary materials and pay for contributions to school activities and
laboratories. Further, the assistance can meet their educational needs, especially the
materials needed in the research paper.
The allowance for books, supplies, transportation, and miscellaneous
personal expenses, including a reasonable allowance for the documented rental or

purchase of a personal computer or laptop, and other education-related expenses,
are great factors in continuing education (Unifast, 2021).

Table 6 above shows the perception of BTVTED students to the TES in terms
of provision of education supplies. It was found out that only 1 indicator falls under
the description "Strongly Agree" with the range 3.26–4.00 and 4 indicators fall under
the description "Agree" with the range 2.51-3.25. It was noted that indicator 2 comes
first with a mean of 3.26, followed by indicators 4 and 5 with a mean of 3.18 and
indicator 1 with a mean of 3.05, respectively.

General Experience
In terms of general experience, they agreed that they are satisfied with the
release of fund and overall process. They also agreed the fund utilization is
reasonable with their needs.

Table 7 above shows the perception of BTVTED students to the TES in terms
of general experience. It was discovered that all indicators fall into the category
"agree" with a range of [Link] was noted that indicator 4 comes first with a

mean of 3.25, followed by indicator 1 with a mean of 2.95, indicator 3 with a mean of
2.80, and indicators 2 and 5 with a mean of 2.55, respectively.
Apart from easing the burden on families, it serves as a type of motivator for
the students. It motivates them to do their best; they learn the importance of hard
work and compassion. Students receive reinforcement for having a positive
presence in and out of the classroom, which is an excellent way to instill good
learning skills.
