2. Short answers: (2 marks each)

3. What is solar constant? Discuss about the PV system of solar energy.

4. What are the environmental impacts of ground water usage?

5. What is trophic level? Discuss about the different trophic levels in Food Chain with
suitable examples.

6. What are the major threats to biodiversity?

Section – B (any two) 20 Marks

7. What is marine pollution? Describe its impact on water quality and list how it can be
controlled?

8. What are Green house gases and its effect? How does it contribute towards climate
change?

9. Why do we refer Environmental (Protection Act) 1986 as an umbrella Act? Discuss the
major Environmental Protection Rules 1986.
