Related Literature
The body of knowledge about the factors that influence academic achievement is
gradually growing. Singh & Singh (2014) examined how parents’ socioeconomic position and
family dynamics affected their children's learning behaviors and academic achievement.
As claimed by Uwaifo (2008), they examined how parents’ socioeconomic position
affected some Nigerian children’s academic performance and discovered that parents’
income and level of education enhanced their children’s aptitude for academic success.
Furthermore, Farooq et al. (2011) examined the elements that influence students'
educational quality.
Moreover, Soharwardi et al. (2020) claimed there are an extreme connections
between parents’ financial situation, education, and reading preferences. Additionally,
parental literacy and reading habits have a big impact on how motivated their children are to
learn.
