ERIC BATTLE
“To work on this has been a dream project. Godzilla has always been a favorite of mine, and I can only hope my
affinity for the majesty of the character translates to the pages of the book.”- ERIC BATTLE
D E S I G N I N G T H E C O V E R
The moment I was made aware that Greg and I were putting together a Godzilla book in conjunction with
Legendary’s new film, two words immediately popped into my head: ARTHUR. ADAMS.

We both share a burning passion for the beast, but Arthur draws him better than anyone else on the planet.

Once we secured him for the project, Arthur set himself to the task of providing a host of cover comps done
in blue pencil for us to review.

With a wealth of great options, we zeroed in on Option B.

After agreeing on this powerful pose, Arthur delivered his final penciled art, seen below.

That done, he then went on to the inking process and voilà!

Then on to Lee Loughridge for coloring, and we now have

the magnificent final piece that graces our cover.
