Good morning everyone,
For the Proposed District Elderly Community Centre (DECC),I propose to creata a micro
elderly community.
Which mean elderly in nursing home can enjoy the same function ,experience and feeling
inside the [Link] also take care with the caregivers.

my site is located at the junction of ma hang Chung road and Kowloon city road. This land
has been abandoned for a long time. This land dimensions is 1440m2.
Aafter the site analysis .The interesting phenomena is that There are many nursing homes
near the site. The flow of Elderly is provided. There is also the To Kwa Wan recreation
ground and Sports Center on the right, which is another gathering place for elderly.

These are four nursing home nearby the site that I want to connect. BEAUTIFUL LIFE AGED
HOME and ORTUNE ELDERLY CENTRE is located at the first floor. SHUN YAN ELDERLY
CENTRE is located on second floor .
On Ling Nursing Home is located on both first and second floor.

the site plan show the bridge is near the site. The height of the bridge will be cover some
view of the site. And the Playground close to the site. I also want to guide ppl go the the tkw
playground

about the sun light come from the southeast. so I want to hv the opening at the southeast of
my site ,so more natural night can get into the building.
And I found an interesting scene,the people of tkw always using the small path to walk to the
tkw playground .alought this is illegal path,they can get faster to the tkw play ground.

In this project,I want to.
-Enhancing the quality of life of elderly
-Increaing the relationship with elderly and caregivers.
Because,
Lots of nursing home nearby the site
-Elderly often pass by this place and feel familiar, specially elderly with dementia -Large
elders network.
The design INSPIRATIOn is one day when I am sketch in the park,I saw Elderly and their
caregivers spend the day in the [Link] didn’t not have communication,and just sit at the
chair.i am thinking we also need to take care of the caregivers.
This collage is situation of the Hong Kong nursing Home nowadays.
Private nursing home dor/mi/to/ry rooms only around 3m^[Link] is only can place a bed
and a headboard ca/bi/net.
In Hong Kong, nursing room require Minimum per capita area for residential dormitories is
6.5m^2,which includes bathroom,kitchen,living room,their dormitory room and other public
area.
So,my program is Specialize for
-Elderly in nursing home
-General elderly and caregivers))

The diagram show program and access about my [Link] key function for the nursing
home elderly is on 1 floor and 2 floor. Such as gym room and [Link] key function for
the caregiver and general elderly is on ground floor such as cafe and library. The reason
these activities are set up on the underground floor is that they are slower-paced activities
that allow caregivers and the elderly to pass time more [Link] course the elderly in nursing
home can also enjoy these function.
So, regarding security concerns, there will be an exit and an entrance. External users will
need to register and obtain a membership card in order to access the facilities inside.
Requiring a membership card helps prevent issues such as the elderly in nursing homes
going missing.

Considering that there will be many wheelchair users among the elderly in the nursing home,
you have decided to incorporate ramp designs into your building.i place the ramps outside
the building since the 1st and 2 nd floor is only 3 meters high. This way, apart from keeping
the activities inside, placing them outside the building will provide a sense of being walking
on the street for the elderly who have been confined to the nursing home for a long time.
