1. TRAINING OF PPIUCD: Our department has been chosen as one of the centres of Government of West
Bengal, for conducting TRAINING OF PPIUCD.
2. MAA: Our department has been chosen as one of the centres of Government of West Bengal, for
conducting TRAINING OF MAA(Mothers absolute Affection) programme.
3. IMS QUIZ (BENGAL ROUND): Was conducted by our Department in collaboration with Indian Menopause
Society and teams from various medical colleges participated.
4. ADVANCED CONTRACEPTIVE TRAINING PROGRAMME: Was conducted in collaboration with the Bengal
Obstetric and Gynecelogical Society & Kalyani Obstetric and Gynecological Society.
5. CME: on early initiation of breast feeding was held in collaboration with UNICEF and BOGS.
6. Organised DNB Examination,G&O in the Department.

1) ‘’GIS Technology in Prevention of Genital Cancer by HPV Vaccine in Rural sector of Birbhum’’---granted by
Science and Technology, Govt of West Bengal by Dr. Sambhunath Bandyopadhyay, Associate Professor.

Guiding 9 PGTs under direct supervision with dissertation topics as follows:
• Expression of GLI3 in fetoplacental tissues exposed to arsenic through maternal blood & association with adverse
neonatal outcome – in collaboration with Presidency College.
• A study on correction between trimester specific serum level of Fetuin A & Insulin resistance in GDM – in
collaboration Endocrinology Dept.
• Clinicosonological & surgical correction between post cs pregnancy and morbid adherent placenta ( completed &
accepted by International Federation of GynaeObst, conference to be held in Oct,2021 at Sydney , Australia).
• Prevalence of Insulin Resistance & its correction with AMH level among the fertile & infertile PCOS WOMEN
(COMPLETED).
• "Expression of LGR5 in fetoplacental tissues exposed to arsenic through maternal blood and association with adverse
neonatal outcome in Eastern Indian Population".

• A study on effect of mode of delivery on incidence of urinary incontinence after childbirth (with Dept of Urology –
ongoing)
• Parental Fe therapy (Ferric carboxymaltose ) vs oral Ferrous Ascorbate in pregnancy with Fe deficiency anemia (with
Dept of Pharmacology) - ongoing.
• Incidence of genital chlamydial infection among reproductive age group in ObGy OPD.
