COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course emphasizes drawing knowledge and inferences from data and statistical methods. After discussing the
concepts of these Statistical methods, their applications in real-life data will be taught using R and Excel. In modern
days, business decisions are based on the knowledge that can be extracted from the data. So, it is important to
learn how to analyze the data using various Statistical methods and make business conclusions. After learning
some Statistical methods in QAB-I and QAB-II courses, now the students may learn some advanced methods in
this course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course is designed to develop a familiarity with the application of Business Analytics methods in business
decision-making. The course is offered with three primary objectives. These are:
1. To introduce some of these techniques;
2. To maximize the value of the informational content of the final solution; and
3. To alert the management students to the assumptions inherent in each one of these techniques and
the resulting limitations.

By the end of the course the student should be able to:
1) Understand the concepts of various analytics methods and techniques.
2) Learn the applications of these methods using Excel and R.
