This Statistical Sample Papers (Volume-1) is written for the practice of various posts such as:
Lecturer Statistics, Subject Specialist, Statistical Officer and M.Phil admission test for different universities
(PU, GCU, QAU, and BZU), GAT subject, and solved Lecturer Statistics (BPS-17) paper 2021. This book
consists of all compulsory materials related to above mentioned posts. This booklet will prove an asset and
source of rich knowledge not only for such exams but also for some other relevant competitive exams.
The test pattern (marks division) given in this book is not affirmative for respective posts. Marks division
with respect to different seats may vary either by advertisement or from department to department by their
policies. Most probably 50% to 80% material will relevant to Statistics. MCQs may also be relevant to
concerned department like Statistical officer in fisheries, Crop reporting department, Planning and
Development department and Industries, Commerce, Investment and Skills development Department etc.
We are thankful to all our teachers at University of the Punjab, Government College University
Lahore, COMSATS University Lahore, colleagues at Bureau of Statistics, Crop Reporting Services
(Agricultural Statistics), Punjab, research fellows and Mr. Umar Farooq (Commerce, Investment and Skills
development Department, Punjab) whose moral contributions were helpful.
Although the hectic efforts we have made to make this booklet a picture prefect repository of
Statistics, we welcome the positive recommendations and constructive criticism from the academia and the
readers.
