IT automation is the practice of using
coded instructions to carry out IT tasks
without human intervention. IT admins
can automate virtually any time-
consuming task that requires regular
application.

IT Automation is a powerful tool that can scale a business,
provide significant cost savings, and allow IT staff to focus
on strategic work. A wide range of data center and cloud
operations can be automated, resulting in faster
operations. Thanks to automation, IT environments can
scale more quickly with fewer errors and are more
responsive to business needs. A fully automated
environment can reduce the time to delivery of
production-ready resources from weeks to less than a day.
Examples of IT
Automation
Deployment automation: When deploying new
versions of applications or updates to the cloud
environment, automation can simplify the process.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: IT automation can
automate backup and disaster recovery processes for
cloud services. For example, the automation system
can schedule regular backups of cloud-based

databases, file systems, or other critical data, ensuring
data integrity and availability.
In a disaster or system failure, the automation system
can initiate recovery, automatically provisioning and
configuring the necessary resources to restore the
application and data to a functional state.

- As a real-life example, Netflix, a leading


streaming media provider, implemented
backup and disaster recovery
automation tools to ensure the
availability and integrity of their

services.
Another real-life example is Workato's
Workbot application which helps employees by
automating the creation of application access
requests to be sent serverside. The same
program also comes with an automated response
machine capable of answering simple questions
regarding projects with minimal technician
supervision. Workbot is available for employee-
based chat applications like Slack.

we chose to name our group ITECH because we study at
ptc and we are called fighting ducks and it sounds like
itek. We exposed to lots of computers and tech gadgets
we chose IT to further more improve our skills and we
believe that if you love what you're doing, you'll never get
tired with it.
