Activity: Picture Puzzle
Materials: Picture
 Divide the class into four groups.
 Each group will be given cut pieces of pictures to
form (puzzle picture)
 After the activity, they will be asked, “What picture
did you form”?
A. Pre-Reading 15 mins

B. During 35 mins Activity: Reading Aloud


Materials: Printed material of the story
 Comprehension Questions
1. What season is it when the story begins?
2. Who was hopping and singing?
3. What was the ant carrying?
4. Why won’t the ant stop working?
5. What problem does the grasshopper have when
the winter comes?
5. What were the ants doing in the winter?
6. What is the moral of the story?

Activity: Five-Finger Retell


Materials: Manila Paper and marker
 The same groupings will be used as in the pre-
reading stage.
 Each group will accomplish the five-finger chart on
a manila paper
