It is recommended that the computer and DG8245W2 be put far away from
electric appliances that generate strong magnetic or electric fields, such as
microwave ovens.

NOTE

● For DG8245W2, the wall-mounted installation requires a support. If this support is

needed, contact the carrier for purchase.
● You can also place the DSL home gateway horizontally on the desk.

Power Steady green The DSL home gateway is powered on.

Off The DSL home gateway is powered off or

faulty.

DSL Steady green A DSL connection has been set up and

activated.

Green blinking A DSL connection is being activated.

Off No DSL connection has been set up, or the

DSL connection is faulty.

Internet Steady green The DSL home gateway is connected to the

Internet in router mode, but no data is being
transmitted.

Green blinking ● The DSL home gateway is being connected

to the Internet in router mode. (Blinks 4
times per second.)
● The DSL home gateway is connected to
the Internet in router mode, and data is
being transmitted. (Blinks twice per
second.)

Off ● The WAN port is not connected to a

network cable.
● The DSL line is not activated.
● The DSL home gateway is in bridge mode.

WLAN Steady green The WLAN function is enabled, but no data is

being transmitted.

● The DSL home gateway is attempting to
connect to a wireless client over the WLAN
using the WPS function. The WLAN
indicator blinks for 120s. (Blinks once per
second.)

Off The WLAN function is disabled.

WAN Steady green The WAN port is connected to a network

cable.

Off The WAN port is not connected to a network

cable.

LAN1–LAN4 Steady green The LAN port is connected to an Ethernet

device (such as a computer) with a network
cable, but no data is being transmitted.

Green blinking The LAN port is connected to an Ethernet

device with a network cable, and data is
being transmitted.

Off The LAN port is not connected to any

Ethernet device.

VoIP Steady green The DSL home gateway is registered with an

SIP server, but no data is being transmitted.

Green blinking ● The DSL home gateway is being registered

with an SIP server. (Blinks twice per
second.)
● The DSL home gateway is registered with
an SIP server, and data is being
transmitted. (Blinks 4 times per second.)

Off No VoIP service, or no VoIP WAN

8 Reset Restores the DSL home gateway to its default settings

or resets the DSL home gateway.
● To restore the DSL home gateway to its default
settings, press and hold the Reset button for more
than 6s after the DSL home gateway is powered on,
and then release the button. After the DSL home
gateway is restored to its default settings, all
customized data will be lost. Therefore, use this
function only when necessary.
● To reset the DSL home gateway, press and hold the
Reset button for not more than 6s after the DSL
home gateway is powered on.

9 Power Connects to a power adapter.

10 On/Off Powers the DSL home gateway on or off.

How do I log in to the DG8245W2 web page?

● Wireless login
1. Connect your mobile phone, pad, or PC to the Wi-Fi network of the
DG8245W2.
2. Enter the IP address in the address bar of a browser and press Enter. On the
displayed login page, enter the account and password. (For details about the
IP address, login account, and password, see the product nameplate.)

1. Use a network cable to connect the DG8245W2 to your PC.

of the actual product prevail.
2. Log in to the web configuration page.
a. Open a browser. In the address bar, enter the web address (printed on the
nameplate of the DG8245W2). Press Enter.

b. Enter the login user name and password (printed on the nameplate of
the DG8245W2). Click Log In.

NOTE

● Before you log in to the DG8245W2 web page, ensure that the computer used for the
login is connected to the DG8245W2 and has been configured to automatically obtain
an IP address or assigned with a static IP address.
● To protect against unauthorized access, change the password after the first login.
● The system will be locked if you input incorrect user name or password three
consecutive times. After one minute, it will be unlocked.
● If you do not perform any operations after logging in to the system for five minutes you
will exit the system and the system automatically returns to the login interface.

How do I change the Wi-Fi password?

1. Log in to the DG8245W2 web page using your mobile phone, pad, or PC. For
details, see "How do I log in to the DG8245W2 web page?"
2. On the web page, click Fast Setting (not for the first login). The Fast Setting
page is displayed.
3. On the Internet configuration page, click Skip.
4. On the Wi-Fi configuration page, enter a new password, and click Next.

1. Log in to the DG8245W2 web page using your PC by wired login . For details,
see "How do I log in to the DG8245W2 web page?"
2. On the web page, click Fast Setting (not for the first login). The Fast Setting
page is displayed.
3. On the Internet configuration page, click Skip.
4. On the Wi-Fi configuration page, enter a new password, and click Hide.

What can I do if the network speed is slow?

1. Check whether network cables are properly connected. Remove and then
insert the network cables. Then, check whether the network speed is normal.
2. Check whether downloading, network video watching, or other operations
occupy a large amount of bandwidth. Due to bandwidth restrictions, if some
network applications occupy a large amount of network bandwidth, the
network speed is slow.
3. Use another PC, mobile phone, or pad to check whether the network speed is
affected by the poor performance of the mobile phone.

How do I restore the DG8245W2 to factory setting?

Press and hold the Reset button for more than 6s to restore the DG8245W2 to
factory settings. Exercise caution when performing this operation. Otherwise, the
device may fail to access the Internet. If so, contact your service provider.
