RULES FOR THE GUIDANCE OF CANDIDATES
1. Examination will commence and be held according to the programme notified from the office of the Controller of Examinations, University of Gour Banga.
2. The Practical/Project exam will not have a specified date or time. Kindly contact your respective college for information regarding the dates of the
* practical/project exam.
3. In the morning of the first day of the examination, the examination hall will be opened one hour earlier than the appointed time but on all subsequent days 15
minute earlier and the doors will be closed 5 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
4. A candidate who is late by 20 minutes, may be admitted to the examination hall at the discretion of the Center -in-charge. Under no circumstances, shall a
candidate who is late by more than 20 minutes be allowed to sit for the examination.
5. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall within one hour of the commencement of the examination.
6. Answer paper(s) even if blank, are to be handed over to the Invigilator and must not be left on the desk.
7. Except blank answer books, additional sheets, blotting papers and graph papers, the University will supply no other materials for use in the examination hall. Log
tables will be supplied , if necessary.
8. On the answer book(s) the candidate shall write the name of the examination, subject, paper, date, his /her University Registration Number and Examination
Roll-No. Under no circumstances his/her name or college should be mentioned on the answer book.
9. The candidate will be allowed to the examination hall only with this Admit Card, the University Registration Certificate and drawing implements which may be
required for answering questions.
10. To draw the attention of the Invigilator, a candidate should stand up. Under no circumstances any tapping on the desk will be allowed.
11. The Admit Card and Registration Certificate are to be shown and signature be given when the Center-in-Charge directs.
12. The candidate must write on the both sides of each page of the answer book except front page. The candidate must not write on the back side of front
page.
13. The candidate must not borrow drawing instrument, pencil, eraser, blotting paper etc. from other candidates in the examination hall.
14. Notwithstanding the issue of Admit Card, the University reserves to itself the right to cancel admission to any examination before, during or after such
examination.
15. For any unfair means attempted or adopted by the candidate or breach of any of the rules above or any act of indiscipline, he /she is liable to be reported against
by the Center-in-Charge and his/her examination may be cancelled by the University.
16. Any alteration made in the entries on the Admit Card without the authentication of the University shall render the candidate liable to be disqualified to sit for this or
any subsequent examination.
17. Correction(s) of any kind on the Admit Card is/are to be made before the commencement of the examination.
18. Cell phone is strictly prohibited in the examination hall. A candidate carrying Cell phone(s) in the examination hall is liable to be reported against by
the Center-in-charge.
