PRE-LESSON: (10 minutes)


1. Teacher gives a few words and ask their understanding about the words
2. Pupils give examples of sentences based on the words given
LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (40 minutes)
1. Pupils read through the sentences 1-8 in A(pg. 16) and give their attention to the verbs in bold
[Link] read through the definitions a-h and teacher check their understanding
3. Students do the activity in A and check the answers with the class
4. Pupils look at the three nouns and try to work out the verbs they derive from
5. Pupils tell the suffix that was added to each verb in order to form the noun
6. Pupils do the activity and check the answers with class
POST-LESSON: (10 minutes)
1. In pairs, pupils discuss at least one new word/phrase that they have learnt today. (Self/Peer Assessment)
2. Teacher collect responses from pupils. (Lollipop sticks)
3. Teacher sums up today’s lesson.
