COURSE SUMMARY
Exports-Imports and foreign trade form a crucial component of the economic growth of any
country. Recently the country's global trade has grown significantly, along with this the
demand for skilled workers in this sector is also increasing. There is a lot of employment
available in Import-Export and Foreign trade management in Trading Houses, MNC
Companies, Export Industries. This course is designed in a manner to teach all the basic
concepts of the foreign Trade sector to the students in a systematic manner. This course aids
in understanding international marketing, trade, and the concept of foreign exchange. This
course imparts knowledge in such a way that one can identify foreign markets, product
development, payments, financial processes, and documentation.

TEACHING-LEARNING STRATEGIES
We will also be reading and discussing few case studies which will enable you to understand
how economics works in real world. At the end of this course, you should be able to analyze
and comment about topical microeconomic issues. Students will also be asked to present on
topical issues in the class. These presentations will test students’ ability as how they can
relate to real world data with the classroom teaching, and will also give them a confidence to
face the potential corporate interviewer in the future. These presentations aim to improve
overall personality of the students besides making them more knowledgeable.
