INSTRUCTIONS

1. This report must be handed in on the date given to you by your teacher.
• You will need to manage your time effectively in order to complete this
task in time.

2. The task should be well-structured, by including the following aspects:


• Create your own cover page which includes your full names, surname,
school, grade, due date, class tutor, LO teacher’s code and a designated
space for marks. Cut out the template provided on your project and
paste it on your cover page.
• This task must be stapled.
• Relevant pictures, photos, diagrams and graphs may be included. (Any
images that you did not take/ create yourself should include references
underneath or in your reference list in the correct referencing style).

3. This assignment should be presented in a neat and professional manner:


• You may type your assignment in font size 12, Arial or Times New Ro-
man, 1.5 line spacing. Normal margins and text should be aligned on the
left.
OR
You may write your assignment by hand neatly and legibly.
• Include page numbers
• Ensure that you make use of proper spelling and grammar.

4. Read through the assignment carefully, paying special attention to rubrics so


that you know what is expected of you.

5. Include a reference list (bibliography) in the Harvard referencing style.
Notes will be attached to help you.

6. Consult at least five sources (excluding pictures) so that you have a well-
rounded assignment. More sources will influence your mark positively.

post in your choice of job/occupation.

1. My Career Plans: Write a paragraph of approximately 150 words in which you


outline your career plans for the next 3-5 years. Indicate what you plan to do
next year (i.e. look for work / study / gap year etc.) and give full reasons for
your choice. For example, if you plan to study, say what you will be studying
where you plan to study and why you want to study the course. Indicate what
you plan to do after you have attained your qualification.

Harvard Referencing Style
Referencing means that you give credit to the various sources you have used when
writing your assignment/report.

All sources should be arranged alphabetically according to the surname of the first
author.
1. Books
Author's surname and initials, year of publication, title (underlined), edition, place of
publication, publisher.
Example:
Marais, B.V.C. and Horne, K.W.W. 2011. The influence of the media on public
opinion, Pretoria: Juta
2. Journals
Author's surname and initials, year of publication of the journal, title of article, title of
journal (underlines), volume, pages.
