Solidworks 2021 Installation Guide

Step 1: Please go to the following link: [Link]/SEK to download the installation file for
Solidworks [Link] asked for email, please use your RMIT email. Make sure the you choose:

• “Yes” for “I already have a serial number that starts with 9020.
• “2021-2022” for Academic Version.

Then click “Request Download”.


Step 2: Download the Installation file to your computer and run it to begin the installation process.

Step 3: Choose the desire extracting location and click Unzip


Step 4: Once the program successfully unzip, the Installation Manager will pop up automatically. Select
Individual as the type of installation and click Next

Step 5: Select SOLIDWORKS and Enter 9020-0050-0174-6432-TMQD-4PJ8 as the serial number and click
Next
If other options are selected, make sure you untick all of them

If there are pop-ups like this appear, just click OK


Step 6: Under Product option, Click on CHANGE

Under Product Selection window, untick the SOLIDWORKS Electrical box. And then click Back to

Step 7: Read the License Agreement and check the box to accept terms and click on Download and
Install

Step 8: Enter the port server as: 25734@[Link] if require and then click OK
If the Installation Manager gave you an error like the figure below, just click Yes

Wait until the installation is completed. This process might take more than an hour to complete.

Step 9: Once the installation completed, click Finish


Step 10: Launch SOLIDWORK 2019 app:
Step 11: SOLIDWORKS will ask you to activate the product. Select I want to activate my SOLIDWORKS
product now. Then click Next
Step 12: Click on Select All. Choose Activate Automatically over the Internet. Then click OK

Step 13: Once the activation is succeeded, click Finish
