According to Oikonomou et al.
(2021) Concentrated fabric conditioners are
water-based formulations containing 10 wt% of cationic surfactants that are deposited
on textile fibers during the rinse cycle in a washing machine to make them smoother
and softer to touch. In topical formulations, the concentration of cationic surfactants is
reduced by half, this reduction being compensated by the addition of environment-
friendly polysaccharides (Oikonomou et al.,2021).
According to Oikonomou et al. (2017) There is currently a renewed interest for
improving household and personal-care formulations to provide more environment-
friendly products. Fabric conditioners used as softeners have to fulfill a number of
stability and biodegradability requirements. They should also display significant
adsorption on cotton under the conditions of use. The quantification of surfactant
adsorption remains however difficult because the fabric-woven structure is complex and
deposited amounts are generally small (Oikonomou et al.,2017).
According to Buena et al. (2019) The Sampaguita Fabric Conditioner has been
choosen by the researchers serves as their product they think that they can make it
more innovative, unique and effectively used that will make customers satisfied and
creates a long term of loyal relationship to the consumers. The proponent advocacy of
our business is to promote a unique fragrance to our consumers (Buena et al.,2019).
KALAMANSI PEEL
According to Morte & Acero (2017) Calamansi or calamondin is very abundant
and one of the sources of staple fruit juice in the Philippines. It is grown principally for its
fruit juice, since it is widely known as good source of Vitamin C. However, the peels are
thrown after the extraction of the juice. The medicinal use of the peel was still unknown
to many Filipinos, thus this study focuses on the potential of calamansi peels in lowering
blood sugar in streptozotocin induced Albino rats. Calamansi peels were dried,
macerated, and the filtrate was subjected to rotary evaporator (Morte & Acero 2017).
According to Goh et al. (2020) Kumquat and calamansi are two exotic citrus fruits
that are integral in Asian cuisine. While they possess excellent flavour profiles and
potential health benefits, they have not been as extensively studied as other citrus fruits.
In this study, the peel oil extracts of four kumquats (Jindou, Youpi, Huapi and Suichuan)
and two calamansis (the Philippines and Indonesia) were analysed using gas
chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) (Goh et al.,2020).
According to Husni et al. (2021) Citrus is a plant that has many health benefits
and has been widely reported for its pharmacological effects. One of the citrus that has
been reported to have antibacterial activity is calamansi (Citrus microcarpa Bunge). This
study aims to determine the chemical content profile of the essential oil of fruit peels
and leaves of calamansi (Husni et al.,(2021).
