BANTIMURUNG PARK
Bantimurung Park is some place in South Sulawesi that is very well for recreating and visited by many tourists. It is located in the District
Identification
of Bantimurung, Maros Regency, and Sulawesi Selatan Province. It is about 20 km from Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, 15 km
from the town of Maros, and 50 km from the city of Makassar. This tourist can go to this place by many transportation, the example we
can use car and motorcycle. Bantimurung park is one of the recreation place in South Sulawesi and it becomes the favorite place for many
tourist.
This waterfall has the width of 20 meters and the height of 15 meters. The water is clear and cool sliding off the rock with heavy swift
along the year. Under the waterfall flow, there is a bathing place of ground limestone that is hard and covered in a layer of minerals due
to the flow of water for hundreds of years. The depth of water in the bath is between the ankles to the waist. At the left of the waterfall,

there is a staircase of concrete that the length is 10 meters. It is a path to the two caves that surround the waterfall, the Batu Caves and
the Cave of Dreams.Besides having an attractive waterfall, Bantimurung Waterfall is also become tourist the place for many, Alfred Rassel
Wallase, had lived in this area for about a year (1856-1857) to examine 150 species of species of rare butterflies, so the Dutch have dubbed
this place as the "Kingdom of Butterfly". In fact, a British naturalist butterflies. Until now, visitors can be still see the beautiful colours of
butterflies with different species of flying to get there – to let n among the flowers and shrubs that meet the rock Bantimurung.
