PREAMBLE
We the members of the Believers’ Love World Campus Ministry – University of Zimbabwe whilst
acknowledging the entire Bible, which is the infallible Word of God as our constitution, for the purpose
of administering the fellowship, do hereby make enact and give ourselves to the following constitution.
CITATIONS
The constitution shall be cited as the constitution of the Christ Embassy Believers’ Love World-University
of Zimbabwe-Campus Ministry (BLWCM -UZ)
Chapter 1
INTRODUCTION
PART 1: INTRODUCTION
S.1 INTRODUCTION
This constitution shall be supreme and all its provisions binding on all members of the fellowship.
Without prejudice to sub-section 1, this constitution shall be subject to the infallible Word of God, the
Holy Bible and the constitution of the BLWCM- UZ.
Any inconsistency between these two documents shall to the extent of that inconsistency be null and
void.
PART 2: GENERAL PROVISIONS
S.2 GENERAL PROVISIONS
The fellowship is a chapter of the BLW Incorporated and BLW Campus Ministry Group J (Zimbabwe). It
shall have all privileges and responsibilities delegated to chapters in the constitution of the BLW Campus
Ministry.
The fellowship shall be called and known as the Believers’ Love World Campus Ministry University of
Zimbabwe.
This fellowship shall be in compliance with the university’s regulations and statutes. It shall be under the
University Senior Chaplain’s office.
MOTTO
The Motto of the fellowship shall be “...building a happier world with love”
S.3 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE FELLOWSHIP
The objects for which this fellowship is established are:
1. To make the gospel of Jesus Christ available to our university
2. To teach the tenets of the gospel
3. To enhance moral training through the teaching of the Bible
4. To seek to satisfy the spiritual in our University
5. To provide solace for the troubled.
6. To practice our religious convictions.
7. To give dignity to the human race.
S.4 MEMBERSHIP
A person is deemed a member of the fellowship if:
1. He/she is born again irrespective of race, color, tribe, language, or class.
2. He/she has satisfied all relevant membership requirements prescribed by the fellowship
and commits himself / herself to the vision of the ministry.
3. The membership requirements include:
a. At least 3 consecutive fellowship meetings
b. At least 3 consecutive cell meetings
c. Completed fully foundation school, and a certificate to verify.
d. Being a member of any directorate in our believers love world campus ministry at
the institution.
e. Actively involved in any of our directorates in our believers love world campus
ministry work at the institution.
Chapter 2
PART 1: OFFICES
S.5 COORDINATOR
1. A coordinator shall head the fellowship and the decisions by the Executive Committee shall be
final and binding on all members of the fellowship, and they should be consistent with the bible
and this constitution and the objectives of the BLW Inc.
2. The coordinator shall be the linking person between the chapter and BLW Inc., BLW campus
ministry southern Africa Zone, BLW campus ministry Zimbabwe.
3. The coordinator shall be the linking person between the chapter and the University Chaplaincy.
4. The Fellowship shall open a bank account with an appropriate bank, and the Coordinator shall
be one of the Signatories of the Fellowship Bank Account.
5. The coordinator shall preside meetings in the fellowship.
6. The coordinator shall be appointed by the outgoing Executive Committee.
7. Where a substantive coordinator is yet to be appointed, a duly designated committee member
shall coordinate the affairs of the fellowship.
TENURE
1. Every coordinator shall cease to function in that office once:
a. He/she leaves the fellowship for any reason whatever.
b. He/she becomes an Executive member of another Christian Organization at the
university
c. He/she conducts himself in a manner or engages in an act unbecoming of his/her status
or is found in a situation contrary to the Word of God, his/her status or such a state as is
embarrassing to the BLWCM -UZ.
d. He/she is deemed by the Executive Committee and BLW campus ministry Zimbabwe
Pastor, as no longer fit to be the Coordinator of the fellowship. Reasons adjudged by
these people can be kept confidential to it and does not need to be made public.
2. The Executive Committee shall review the appointment of every coordinator at the end of one
academic session after which he/she may or may not continue as coordinator.
S.6 ASSISTANT COORDINATOR(S)
1. As the need of the fellowship demands, the Executive Committee shall appoint an Assistant
Coordinator, and other Assistant Coordinators can be appointed as the membership strength of
the fellowship continues to increase.
2. The Coordinator and Assistant(s) make up the Pastorate for the fellowship.
3. If for any reason the Coordinator ceases to function in that office, the Assistant Coordinator
does not automatically become the Coordinator of the fellowship.
FUNCTIONS
4. The Assistant Coordinator(s) shall be directly responsible to the Coordinator.
5. He/she will be of general and specific assistance to the Coordinator.
6. He/she will be the head, preside meetings and take up all the Coordinator’s duties if the
Coordinator is not there.
7. He/she will perform all or any of the duties of the Coordinator expressly delegated to him by the
Coordinator.
S.7 SECRETARY
1. The Executive Committee shall appoint a Secretary for the fellowship.
2. The Secretary shall ensure effective and efficient flow of information within the Leaders Forum,
Executive Committee and the whole church.
3. The Secretary shall take minutes during Executive Committee and Leaders Forum meetings, and
The Secretary shall keep record of fellowship activities.
4. The Secretary shall be responsible on reporting of every meeting regarding the BLWCM -UZ the
Fellowships, the Executive Committee meetings, Leaders Forum, Outreaches, Camps and others.
5. The Secretary shall be one of the Signatories to the fellowship Bank Account.
S.8 TREASURER
1. The Treasurer shall be one of the Signatories to the Fellowship Bank Account.
2. The Treasurer shall collect ALL the offerings, or any money injected into the fellowship by any
one.
N.B – These finances shall be for the upkeep of the Campus Ministry at the University.
PART 2: DIRECTORATES AND DUTIES
S.9 DIRECTORATES
1. There shall be different Directorates of the fellowship.
2. Each Directorate shall be headed by a Director to be appointed by the Executive Committee.
3. A fellowship shall constitute these Directorates as the membership strength of the fellowship
increases and as the need arises.
DIRECTORATE OF CELL MINISTRY
There shall be a directorate of Cell Ministry which shall be charged with these following
responsibilities:
a. Monitoring of the Follow-up of First timers and New Converts in the fellowship.
b. Organizing and monitoring the cell groups.
c. Keeping up to date membership records.
DIRECTORATE OF PRAYERS
There shall be a Directorate of Prayers, which shall be structured to function as the need of the
Fellowship demands.
a. It shall be there to strengthen the members and remind them of prayer as the VITAL tool in
achieving our goals.
b. This Directorate shall organize, plan, coordinate, and lead in prayer sessions.
DIRECTORATE OF LOGISTICS
There shall be a Directorate of Logistics which shall consist of the following departments headed by
Departmental Heads:
a. Ushers and welcomers Team
b. Maintenance and Decorations
c. Organization and Technical
As the membership strength of the fellowship increases, these departments can be split into separate
units.
DIRECTORATE OF PUBLICITY/PUBLICATIONS
There shall be a Directorate of Publicity/Publications which shall involve the following departments:
a. Effective communication in the fellowship concerning programs, events or anything that has
to be communicated to everyone with the help of the Secretary.
b. Publicity i.e. ( flyers, posters, t-shirts)
c. Love World Publications and Tapes.
d. Love World Television Ministry.
DIRECTORATE OF MUSIC
There shall be a Directorate of Music which shall consist of the following departments;
a. Drama
b. Choir
c. Dance
d. Poetry
DIRECTORATE OF COUNSELORS
There shall be a directorate of Counselors which shall make sure that the following is happening;
a. Organizing the membership classes for the first timers and new converts.
b. Motivating and organizing the members of the fellowship for Campus Ministry.
c. Also monitor the follow-up of the first timers and new converts
DIRECTORATE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
There shall be a Directorate of Information and communication systems, it will cater for;
e. It shall be more of technical technology based directorate, tailored for our ministry.
Chapter 3
PART 1: EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND LEADERS FORUM
S.10 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
1. There shall be a governing body of the fellowship made of at least ten(10) people and a
Maximum of fifteen (12) people to be called and known as the Executive Committee.
2. The Executive Committee shall be constituted and headed by the Coordinator as its
chairperson.
3. Where an Assistant Coordinator has been appointed, he/she shall serve on the Executive
Committee as its Vice-Chairperson. The other Assistant Coordinator on appointment shall
serve as the second Vice-Chairperson.
4. Where an executive committee is yet to be constituted, a Coordinator may appoint
committed members of the fellowship to assist in his functions.
5. The Executive Committee shall be made up of the following :
a. The Coordinator as Chairperson
b. The Assistant Coordinator(s) as Vice-Chairperson(s)
c. The Secretary and the Treasurer
d. The Directors of the different Directorates.
FUNCTIONS
6. The Executive Committee shall make suggestions and implement decisions on fellowship
affairs headed by there Coordinator.
7. The Executive Committee shall ensure that the fellowship is run smoothly.
TENURE
8. A member of the Executive Committee shall continue to be so until and unless:
a. He/she becomes an Executive member of another religious organization not approved
by the Executive Committee.
b. He/she ceases to be a member of the fellowship.
c. He/she leaves the institution for any reason whatsoever.
S.11 LEADERS FORUM
1. There shall be a Leaders Forum
2. The Leaders Forum shall be made up of the following:
a. The Coordinator as Chairperson
b. All members of the Executive Committee
c. All Head of Departments
NOTE: They are going to be Heads of Departments, as the ones which follow the Directors of each
Directorate.
FUNCTIONS
3. The Leaders Forum shall have the following functions:
a. Making suggestions on the fellowship affairs to the Executive Committee.
b. Implementation of the goals of the fellowship.
TENURE
4. A member of the Leaders Forum shall continue to be so until and unless he ceases to be in any
of the offices mentioned earlier in this section. She/he shall continue to be so until the
promotion/termination of such an appointment by the Executive Committee.
S.12 DISCIPLINE
a. Authority to investigate on an area of misconduct and make a decision is given to Executive
Committee Members only. And only abiding if the members are more than 3 and the
Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, Secretary is involved.
b. If the Assistant Coordinator is the one on the wrong side of the issue, the Coordinator, Secretary
with other members can make a decision.
c. If the Coordinator is the one on the wrong side of the issue, the Assistant Coordinator, Secretary
and other members can make a decision.
PART TWO: MEETINGS
S.13 MEETINGS
1. The fellowship shall hold fellowship meetings and cell ministry meetings.
2. Without prejudice to the fore-going sections, nothing shall preclude the Coordinator from
calling an extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee when the need arises
