My name is Aryush Tripathi and I am a second-year student of the

School of Mineral, Metallurgical, and Materials Engineering. I am

honored to stand before you as a candidate for the position of Secretary
of the Society of Finance Economics and Business (FEBS). I have been
an active member and contributor to the FEBS Society since my first
year and I am excited to share my vision for this society with all of you.
Throughout my time with FEBS, I have witnessed the incredible
potential of this community and I believe that by working together, we
can achieve great things.
If I am elected, I aim to introduce a series of initiatives that will not only
enrich the experience of our members but also elevate FEBS impact
within our campus community.

Finance:

I will make sure that workshops and online courses to enhance financial
literacy among students, covering topics like budgeting, investing, and
managing debt.

• I will focus on developing finance as a career in our campus and

therefore I have planned to organise workshops for CFA, FRM, and CFP
which are high paying finance jobs.
Organising Investo will be on my priority for the upcoming semester and
being the public relations and outreach head I will make sure that it
involves participation from other IITs as well which has been a
challenge for us till now
Business :
Industry Speaker Series- I am planning to organise a guest series for
business on product management, management consulting and financial
consulting field for the Campus students.

Hackathons - I have planned to organise an ideation hackathon where we

can collaborate with the companies which need new ideas on their
problems.

In Collaboration with Research and Entrepreneurship Park ( REP ) , I

will create a conducive environment for our students and provide
mentorship to pursue their ideas along with their academics.

I will also bring forth Consulting, especially management consulting

Culture in the institute with the release of the Case Booklet and then
sessions and workshops in this domain.

A lot of our alumni are in Consulting and Product Management, as part

of alumni connect I will try to organize sessions for students in these
very lucrative fields.
Economics:

Case Study Competitions and discussions: I propose that we need to

focus more on economics section of our Society. We need to have more
intra society activities related to economics like case studies and panel
discussions.

FEBS has already inducted ITEP Students into the society , I will further
this step and make sure our ITEP juniors are assimilated into the society
and everyone benefits from their formal study in the subject.

Data Science and Quantitative finance:

I Will invite Professors from SBS ( Maths ) to take session on

Probability, Statistics and Stochastic Processes which is absolutely
crucial to Quant Finance.

A proper boot camp on the Stock market with both Technical and
Fundamental Analysis will be conducted

I will continue existing boot camps like Quant 101 and encourage
sessions on new career opportunities like Investment Banking, High-
Frequency Trading, Asset Management, etc.
Alumni Entrepreneurship Network: Being the Public Relations and
Outreach head for the last one year, I have understood the problem with
the alumni connection program of our Society.

I propose a career guidance session in their fields. We would prefer

alumni for such sessions than outside college speakers.

I also think that we need to regularly update them about the Events being
conducted by the Society so that they remain in touch with the Society.
