Course Prerequisites: None Type of Course: Cognate.
I. Program Outcomes: To keep pace with the demands of global competitiveness.

II. Program Outcomes Addressed by the Course
Upon completion of this course, students are expected to: train the prospective
school executive to practice strategic leadership that promotes a vision, mission, values,
beliefs, and goals for 21st century school and develop the knowledge, skills and
dispositions needed to be a visible and accessible effective school leader.
III. Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the students are expected to attain
the following competencies and high level of valuing:
1. Provide the students with a working knowledge on the basic concepts of planning
and the planning process and their application to the educational setting.
2. Enable the students to prepare project proposal on any area of concern in their
respective work situation.
3. Imbibe in them the value of planning which will help in attaining efficiency and
effectiveness in their undertakings.
IV. Course Description: This course is designed to provide understanding of the
fundamental concepts of educational planning, the why, the what, the how and its
impact on the organization’s operation. It will also analyze the elements that go into the
plan, discuss the approaches to planning, the planning process and the links between
planning implementation and evaluation of educational plans.
