Teaching Scenario: Daily Activities Using CLT Approach and Project-Based

Learning for SMP (4 x 90 Minutes)

Materi: Daily Activities

Pertemuan 1: Listening Focus (90 minutes)

Objective:

 Students can understand descriptions of daily activities.

Activities:

1. Introduction (15 minutes)


o Warm-up: Play a short, engaging video about daily activities. Discuss briefly
what activities students noticed.
o Objective Sharing: Explain that today they will practice listening to descriptions
of daily activities.
2. Main Activity: Listening Practice (45 minutes)
o Pre-Listening Activity:
 Introduce key vocabulary related to daily activities (wake up, have
breakfast, go to school, etc.).
 Have students predict the order of activities they will hear in the listening
exercise.
o Listening Task:
 Play an audio recording of a person describing their daily routine.
 Students listen and complete a worksheet where they match the activities
with the correct times mentioned.
o Post-Listening Activity:
 Discuss the answers in pairs and then as a class.
 Play the audio again if needed for clarification.
3. Project Introduction (30 minutes)
o Group Formation: Divide students into small groups.
o Project Briefing: Explain the project—creating a multimedia presentation (video,
PowerPoint, etc.) about their daily activities.
o Brainstorming Session: Each group brainstorms their daily routines and decides
how they will present them. Groups start planning their project outline and roles.
4. Conclusion (10 minutes)
o Quick review of what was learned.
o Homework: Each student writes down their daily activities and brings it to the
next class.

Pertemuan 2: Speaking Focus (90 minutes)

Objective:
 Students can describe their daily activities orally.

Activities:

1. Introduction (15 minutes)


o Warm-up: Students share one activity they do daily with a partner.
o Objective Sharing: Explain that today they will practice speaking about their
daily routines.
2. Main Activity: Speaking Practice (45 minutes)
o Role-Play:
 In pairs, students take turns describing their daily activities using their
homework notes.
 Each pair performs in front of another pair, getting feedback on clarity and
fluency.
o Group Discussions:
 Groups discuss their project ideas and decide on the final format.
 Practice presenting parts of their daily routines to group members.
3. Project Development (30 minutes)
o Groups start working on their project using feedback from the role-play sessions.
o Allocate roles (e.g., scriptwriter, presenter, tech support) and begin drafting the
script or storyboard for the presentation.
4. Conclusion (10 minutes)
o Summarize the key points of the lesson.
o Homework: Continue working on the project script or storyboard.
