High Load Tubing Swivel

Description/Application
The High Load Tubing Swivel was developed
for use when an inner string is needed when run-
ning a liner hanger. The High Load Swivel allows
for easy connection between the Liner Hanger
Running Tool and the inner string. With the High
Load Tubing Swivel in place, the liner can be safely
rotated downhole without the fear of backing off in-
ner string connections or releasing running tools.

Features/Benefits

ordered with premium threads
• Utilizes Tapered Roller Bearing for High Load
capacity
• Molyglass packing is used as the sealing
element to provide a durable and high pressure
seal

Installation
The High Load Swivel should be attached to
the bottom of the Liner Hanger Running Tools and
should extend out the lower end of the Liner Hang-
er Assembly. The liner is picked up and run in the
hole. After the liner is run in the hole, a false rotary
is placed over the liner and the inner string is then
run. The Liner Hanger Assembly is picked up and
the High Load Swivel is attached to the inner string
(no rotation of the Liner Hanger Assembly is nec-
essary). Removal of the false rotary table is
achieved by picking up the Liner Hanger Assembly
with the inner string. The Liner Hanger is now con-
nected to the liner.
