Ahmedabad Vadodara Expressway (National Expressway 1)
Length: 96 Kilometers, Connecting Ahmedabad to Vadodara
Cost: 475 Crores
The Expressway is being expanded from 4 to 6 service lanes at the cost of Rupees 3,600 by IRB Infra. The
expressway is proposed to be extended up to Mumbai once the 6 lane work is completed. As of 2013, it
remains India's only National Expressway.
Allahabad Bypass Expressway
Length: 84.708 km completed in 2009
The Allahabad bypass expressway is a part of the National Highway 2 and passes through the state of
Uttar Pradesh. The projects is also the part of Golden Quadrilateral, India’s longest bypass section
joining the four main Indian metropolitan cities - Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai.

A part of the NH 22 passing through the state of Punjab.
Constructed by the GMR Group with assistance from the World Bank.
Chennai Bangalore Expressway (Proposed)
Length: 262 km
Estimated cost of the project is around Rs 76.83 billion
It is a part of National Highways Development Project in Phase VI. The expressway will run through Tamil
Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka will require nearly 2,300 hectares of land. It will serve as an
alternative to the NH 7 from Bangalore to Krishnagiri, NH 46 from Krishnagiri to Ranipet and NH 4 from
Ranipet to Chennai.

Delhi – Faridabad Skyway (Badarpur Flyover)
Length: 4.4 Kilometer, became operational in 2010
It is a tolled three-lane elevated stretch expressway on the NH2
Constructed by HCC Infrastructure with an investment of nearly Rs. 600 Crore under the Public Private
Partnership.
Delhi Gurgaon Expressway
Length: 28 km
Cost: Rupees 1,000 Crores, opened on January 23, 2008
One of the most important and highest density corridor between NCR and Gurgaon, it is a part of
Golden Quadrilateral. The road has 11 flyovers and overpasses. The 32-lane toll plaza at Delhi-Haryana
Border which has been closed recently owing to the long traffic jams and hours of waiting, was the
biggest toll plaza in South Asia and the second biggest in the Asia.

Length: 10 km Elevated 6 lane corridor on NH1 in Panipat to ease traffic between Delhi and Amritsar

The main 6 lane part of this elevated expressway is in between the Panipat city which lengths 3.6 km.
This 3.6 km flyover is the longest 6 lane flyover in India to date. It was constructed by L&T Panipat
Elevated Corridor Limited.
Pathankot Ajmer Expressway (Proposed)

Proposed by Uttar Pradesh Industrial development authority, there will be 52 underpasses and 7 ROBs
across the project.

Starts from Greater Noida and ends at Kuberpur on NH 2 towards Kanpur and Agra, this expressway is

A 285-km Agra-Lucknow Expressway Project is proposed with estimation budget of Rs.15,000 crore
which would extend Yauna Expressway to Lucknow enabling fast transit.
Sion Panvel Expressway (Under Construction)
Length: 25 km, connecting the city of Mumbai to Panvel via Navi Mumbai
Estimated Cost: 1,220 Crore

Ganga Expressway, Bihar (Under Construction)
Length: 38 Kilometer, connecting Digha Ghat to Fatiha via Didarganj
Cost: Rupees 2,234.46 Crore
Ganga Expressway in Bihar is being constructed by Navayuga Engineering Company through funding
from Housing and Urban Development Corporation. The expressway is expected to open to traffic in
2017.
Outer Ring Road Expressway, Hyderabad (To be completed by July 2014)
Length: 158 kilometer, 8-lane ring road expressway
Cost: Rs. 6,696 Crores with an assistance of Rs 3,123 Crores from Japan International Cooperation
Agency.
Built by HMDA, this gives an easy connectivity between NH 9, NH 7, NH 4 and state highways leading to
Vikarabad, Srisailam, Nagarjunasagar and Karimnagar/Mancherial.
The Shamirpet to Pedda Amberpet (33 kilometers) part of the expressway is expected to be completed
by July 2014, rest of the part has been opened to public in December 2014.

Himalayan Expressway
Length: 27.5 km, 4 Lane
Cost: Rupees 412 Crore
Himalayan Expressway, built by the Jaypee group, passes through three states Punjab (2 Kilometers),
Haryana (21 Kilometer) and Himachal Pradesh (4.6 Kilometers). The stretch has 32 structures including a
rail over-bridge, two flyovers and 11 bridges.
Bamroli-Althan Expressway
Length: 12 km
Cost: Rupees 178 Crores
The expressway begins at Daksheshwar Junction and connects Bamroli to Althan in Surat. The 6 lane
highway serving the city of Surat is also known as middle ring road. The road was constructed by Surat
Municipal Corporation (SMC).

Chennai Port – Maduravoyal Expressway (Under Construction)
Length: 19 kilometers
Cost: Rupees 1,800 Crores
Upon completion, this will be the country's longest four-way elevated expressway. The Expressway
crosses the Elevated Chennai Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) line then meets the Koyambedu Grade
Separator and goes along NH4 median then starts coming down and meet the Maduravoyal clover-leaf
grade separator.
Hosur Road Elevated Expressway
Length: 9.985 kilometers, elevated, tolled, access-controlled expressway in the city of Bengaluru
operating since January 2010. By now, it is India’s Longest Elevated National Highway.
Constructed by Bangalore Elevated Tollway Ltd, the expressway starts from Bomanahalli after the
Central Silk Board flyover and goes on up to Electronics City.
