CFI comments for certificate recommendations:
1. Be sure to get student on IACRA and Look at what they write on 8710: eg.
Usually use only one A/C, check the time requirements and training
requirements.
2. Read the PTS for the certificate or rating: there is a good checklist for the
applicant to follow.
3. Be sure the applicant has and knows his/her FTN.
4. Tab the applicants logbook with required training times and activities (eg. XC)
5. In general there are 4 Logbooks endorsements required for the Practical and
Written
a. Received required tng. Instrument.=3hours within 2 calendar months
b. Prepared for the knowledge test
c. Practical/oral test
d. Satisfactory knowledge of areas of deficiency in the knowledge test
6. Be sure the applicant has the A/C log books and can interpret them
