One of the 9 centers of participation of the Philippine Youth Development Plan (PYDP) as required by the
National Youth Commission and the law is the Economic Empowerment for the Youth. The purpose of the
government is to trained and mold the youth to become an empowered entrepreneurs who are productively engaged in
gainful and decent work or businesses, to promote youth entrepreneurial activities and increase number of young
entrepreneurs.
The municipality of Padada particularly its Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) had anchored our
Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) from the PYDP which also includes the economic empowerment as one of the
centers of participation. It is one of the goal of the municipality to produce an empowered youth when it comes to the
economic aspect and to engage them in entrepreneurial activities.
It is always the desire of the LYDC to conduct trainings for its members that would be beneficial for them in
terms of economic empowerment, but due to the financial limitation of the council we are hindered to realize our plans
of conducting the said activities.
Knowing your agency as one of the stakeholders of the government in the conduct of various trainings and
activities beneficial for the community, we would like to request your good office to conduct training intended for the
members of our Local Youth Development Council of this municipality on January 30, 2023 at Municipal
Gymnasium, Padada, Davao del Sur.
