Ordinal Questions
These questions require respondents to
rank items in order of preference or
importance.

Matrix Questions
These questions allow multiple questions
to be presented in a grid format.

Frequency Questions
These questions ask about how often
something occurs.
Frequency: "How often do you exercise in
a week?" (Options: Never, 1-2 times, 3-4
times, 5 or more times)
Interval-Based: "How often do you visit
our website?" (Options: Daily, Weekly,
Monthly, Rarely, Never)

Binary Scale Questions
These are simple yes/no questions.
"Have you ever purchased a product from
our online store?" (Options:Yes, No)

These questions allow respondents to
select multiple options.
"Which of the following social media
platforms do you use? (Select all that

Filter or Contingency Questions
These questions direct respondents to
different parts of the survey based on
their answers.

Constant Sum Questions
These questions ask respondents to
allocate a fixed number of points, dollars,

These questions require respondents to
